My son is 21 months old and has started to say "pee pee" when he has no nappy on. The other day when this happened I thought it was just a new word he had picked up. 5 minutes later he done a pee pee on the bathroom rug. I wish I had taken him seriously, but the problem is that I don't have a potty for him yet.
I am too scared to introduce a potty just now incase he treats it like another toy and starts playing with it. I tried to sit him on the loo but he was scared of it.
The other thing is that he doesn't say anything when he has a nappy on about pee pees.
I was going to wait until November when he is 2 before I got a potty for him but since this happened I have been thinking about getting one for him - is it too soon? How do I get him to understand what he has to do with it? any thoughts would be appreciated!
