I'm not in the slightest bit surprised that this monitor is still on the market - despite ours being around 5 years old now - It's now monitoring our 3rd (and final!) child.

It's robust, it's sensitive and we've never had a single problem with it.  It has a temperature gauge on it.  It lights up to sound and/or motion.  You can even press a button to be able to talk to the children - making it two-way - but only when you want it to be.  You can have the monitor at different volumes too - which can be handy if you have a particularly quiet baby (lucky you!) or a particularly noisy one - like the rest of us!!

Tomy is a very reputable brand and for such a great monitor it's still at a very reasonable price (in fact I think it's cheaper now than when we purchased it 5 years ago).  I believe the RRP is currently £39.99 - although there's some bargains to be had out there and I even found one online at just £20!!

I learnt a lot from having three children and if I had my first child again there's heaps of useless things that I wouldn't be wasting my money on - but a good baby monitor is paramount and this one's top of my list.
