CONGRATULATIONS SHERRY

Where's Batsho??? i do hope she is okay.

Lawlaw, Like the other girls have said don't blame yourself about bottle feeding, the only importnat thing is that your girl is getting a fed, colic can happen in breastfed babies too.

Susan sorry to hear you're having a rough time with the infection still. I'm glad your older boys are being good though.

Right i'm off to the other thread to ask some sleeping advice.

Hello everyone,

Makayla Nomsa was born on the 4th of March at 5.22am weighing 7lbs 8oz. I had an emergency c-section. I went in on the 2nd and  on monday the  3rd it was so busy so my waters did not get broken till about 11pm. after about 2 hrs i had not progressed so i was put on the drip. the contractions started coming very painful and fast so i used gas and air. everytime i stood up they lost the heart beat on the monitor and so i had to lie on my left side but the contractions were too painful. i stood up again at about 4.30 am and they lost the heartbeat and they could not find it even lying down for 5 mins and my consultant decided that i had to go in.  It turns out she will never have come out anyway because the cord was wrapped around her foot so everytime i had contractions she was tightening the cord and cutting off oxygen. the consultant said later that they had gone in just on time. despite the traumatic experience we are both fine and just got ack from hospital this evening. Hubby was excellent all the way through. I must say the service at the hospital especially information during labour was excellent and the aftercare.

Sorry i haven't had a chance to read any other postings but i'm exhausted will catch up tomorrow.

i must be the last surlely to give birth on the feb thread.

Congratulations Batsho.  Glad that it all turned out ok.  Really pleased for you.  Hope you have a good recovery.

Michelle, I can totally understand what you went through with the breastfeeding.  I am still persevering with it despite the upset of whether she is getting enough.  We have had a very stressful week with it.  She hasn't lost any weight but still hasn't gained sufficient so we're giving some expressed and formula.  I will probably give it another week.

Doesn't look like anyone has been on recently - is everyone on other thread now?

Luke came home on Friday - 6 weeks old. We survived the weekend with help from my parents. Now Joshua is being investigated as his white blood cell count is low! So back to hospital again!

Hope everyone is doing well.
