Hi girls.

Liz. Sorry you had to go and do markets in the rain, especially with a cold! I still cook some stuff just for P too. She eats a lot of what we do but sometimes I cant be bothered to cook proper dinner, so we'l just have pizza, but I want her to eat healthily. She has been off her food since the weekend anyway. Taking her to doctor tomorrow as cant seem to get rid of her cough, and tixylix is useless. Hope shes not getting bronciolitis again poor baby. Good luck with WW.

Alice. Hope youre having a great time at Center Parcs. I love trash TV!! (Although never seen Strictly, think most girls on here are fans.)   Paiges latest thing is emptying the basket we put scrap paper in then putting in all back then doing it over again.

Hi Liz, I'm okay, thanks for asking! Just trying to get my head round everything and move forward positively... had a stressful day today but had to rush to get truck ready for going to auction!! Have decided we must get rid now as it has sat doing nothing for 4 weeks as I have been using OH's car as he doesn't really need it now as he can walk to work & shops, etc and I only use it to go do dogs & get shopping so seems mad to have such an expensive vehicle sitting costing money but not being used!!! Anyway, still have bottles to do so best dash for now... so sorry you are still suffering with your cold! (((Hugs))) M xxx

HI girls,

Feeling alot better today thank you, henry is better too although he is few days behind me so still has a runny nose.

I was going to do some chores when H was asleep just now but ended up watchinig 3 sex and the ciries back to back, sometimes all you need is a bit of telly and yummy food, sadly I had to forego the latter, I was the same weight at WW which is baffling but hey, I must stay on the straight and narrow this week as have a dinner next thurs and really want to lose next wed. It is boring tho at times, I so wanted a giant purple quality street choccy earlier!!!

Henry keeps bringing things to me lately, toys, books etc its his new thing. Also he's big on head shaking/nodding this week too. This morning I didn't wait till h was dressed, brushed washed etc, I had a shower and did me first and he was quite happy, can't think why I don't do this more often, it struck me that this simple thing made me feel so much better this a.m. Although H did keep trying to put things in the bath such as my pyjamas. He looks at my naked body funny, looks at my boobs like long lost friends y'know what I mean? He did also look strangely at my pubes then go to grab the (tmi). Tisk tisk, kids hey!

help. My maternity trousers are too tight for me and I still have 8 weeks left!
Show/hide user stats
Oh Lisa, I remember that moment well!!! I ended up in supersized jogging bottoms with tummy bands on top lol!!!! Or mat jeans undone with tummy band over the top to hold them up! I was way bigger second time round... just think not long from now your maternity trousers will be far too big!!! Good luck finding some mega stretchy bottoms to wear!!! Oh just a thought but you can get extension belts to use for normal trousers during pregnancy so have you thought of using extension belts with maternity trousers???? xxx

Morning all

It has been ages since I last posted but I have been very busy at work and just have not had the chance.  Well, where shall I start?  Cristiano's walking is brilliant.  In the 2 weeks he has been walking he hasn't crawled once.  He now can get up on his own from a seated position without holding onto anything so just gets up and starts walking.  He isnt wobbly anymore.  Its so amazing.  He looks mega cute. As far as new things he knows how to do the movemts to Head, shoulders knees and toes, can semi dress/undress himself, can take shoes and socks off, says "nice" to chocolate (the only thing he eats - DONT ASK still major issues with the whole eating thing).  He also says mama and daddy but he has been saying this for a while now.  He can also eat with a spoon although make a bit of mess.

We took C to see father Christmas on Monday.  Can you believe its £4.50 just to see him?!!  Anyway, we paid but when we got inside the grotto, C was so scared he could not stop crying!  Bless him,

Liz, stick with the WW - remember its better to stay the same rather than put on.  I put on 3lbs at WW this week.  Want to loose at least 2 by next Wed.  The thing is I have just wanted to eat and eat and eat the last week or so.  I dont know what is wrong with me.  maybe its the sudden change in weather.

Maria, I know how you feel.  Towards the last few weeks of my preg I just used to wear tracksuit bottoms and that was it.  I had 2 pairs and just washed one wore one.  I had grown out of my maternity stuff my mat jeans which still fitted me were just way to restrictive to wear around the house.

Right, better go, have so much work to do before I leave for the weekend.

Hi girls.

Took P to the doctor yesterday and she's fine. No bronciolitis, just a v bad cough which is a relief.

On the downside, Navy are sending Jon to Dubai for 2 weeks. Know its not that long but whatever I try his children still totally disrespect me (did I tell you tje girl whacked me round the head with her lunchbox last week?), so the idea of a week looking after all 3 alone doesnt exactly fill me with joy!

Abbey. Good to hear from you. Glad C is walking well. Dont worry too much about the eating, it will happen when he's ready. Paige still has days when she'l only eat fromage frais, but then other days where she'l eat us out of house and home

Liz. Had to laugh when I read about H trying to grab you in the shower, you can really embarrass him by telling that story the first time he brings a girl over

Lisa. Have you got any wrap dresses? They have more give than trousers and should see you through to due date. Asked on fb, but have you picked names yet?

Maria. How did it go at the auction?

On a strange note, was trying to tidy up a bit earlier and wanted dustpan and brush. Found the pan but brush has just disappeared-weird!!

Em, I have a couple of loose dresses, but its so cold travelling to work in the mornings that I don'#t wear them!

Names. Well for a boy, Hallen...and I quite like Jory for a middle name as it is cornish for George which is my dads family name.

Girls, we like Alice (but had that in mind last timeand never used it!) Although it seems a bit plain and simple now compared to Kerenza, like we haven't put much thought into it.

Alice, Selina, or Hannah, or Phoebe, or Lucy. I like Nessa which is Cornish for second born, and I also like Elizabeth.

Nothing decided...but then, we got Kerenza from out the blue on the day so shall just see!

Hi all,

Hope your all feeling much better today girls and bubbas that have been sick and ill?? And hope you managed to find something to wear Lisa, i remember wearing pyjama bottoms for the last few weeks of being pregnant! Very attractive but they were nice checkered winnie the pooh ones! I love all your names, esp Hallen, thats really unusual and I think it goes well with kerenza, has a nice ring to it ' Hallen & Kerenza! '. ..

Well we had a lovely time at Centre Parcs, really nice and would recommend it to all other mums as there's just so much to do with little ones, really set up for families, and the villas you stay in are perfect and cosy. We spent most of our time in the pool which Tom loved, esp the lazy river, which we must of been round about 300 times altogether!

Tom has had a stinking cold so we didnt do too much, just relaxed and went swimming twice a day. He also has a terrible ough, it must be the season for them! It isnt any better since coming home, and we hear him in the night and feel so sorry for him, but Tixylix IS useless, does nothing to help him at all. He is also off his food, which is so strange to see as usually he eats as much as you put in fromt of him. Will only eat fromage frais, the occasional slice of cheese (only Emmental!) and Heinz tins of beans, veg and tomatoes. Not too unhealthy but tends ot only eat once a day. Even refuses his beloved weetabix..

Sorry to hear your OH will be away for 2 weeks Emma, it is hard when their not around, and it sounds really tough for you with his other kids.

Maria, how is little Caleb? And are you feeling any better in yourself? Or has there not really been time for the tablets to work yet?

Ha Liz that made me laught about your shower experience! Tom is also very interested in my OH when he's naked!!! Must look a bit funny i suppose!

Going to attenpt to make Xmas cards with Toms help and lots of glitter this afternoon, so we'll see how much mess we can make! and then going to a local Christmas fair at the village hall later on, so feeling very Christmassy all of a sudden. I also had dreams about mince pies last night, my gran was making them and kept burying them in the garden! Very strange..

Better go and fix lunch, xx

Hi girls, in need of some advice / suggestions?!! Jacob used to not wake until 7/7:30am and always woke happy and chatting but for about a week now he has been waking between 5-6am and wakes crying or howling and is very distressed... if we leave him a wee bit he sometimes will settle back to sleep for an hour but then still wakes up howling & upset or if he doesn't settle he is really upset and sobs lots when we go in... the thing is that when we do go in he is still lying down trying to sleep and is almost in a half awake / half asleep state... do you think he is having nightmares?? Could this be though if it is every morning... it is breaking my heart that he wakes every morning so upset as he used to be such a happy little boy in the morning and always greeted us with a smile & lots of chatter but now its tears and sad faces... Any ideas girls?? Anyone else's LO doing this??

Emma - hope you cope with OH away... I don't know how you keep it together with 4 to look after, you are truly amazing!!! Auction plans got delayed so it goes on monday now!

Alice, glad you had a nice time away... Caleb is growing loads and thankfully the gaviscon is really helping with his reflux... can't believe he is nearly 2 months old already!!

I have done no tidying up whatsoever yet tonight so going to be a late bedtime as a result of watching x-factor but it is my weekly treat!!

Hi Maria,

You are always up so late I dont know how you do it, Im always tucked up in bed by 10.30 at the latest!

Tom has had such different stages of waking up recently. Like J he used to wake up at 7 on the dot every day. Then he started waking at 5.00am about a month ago, for a fortnight, and waking up really upset and crying, not the smiley and happy boy he usually is first thing in the mornings. I think it was just a phase though as then one day he woke at 6.30 and has now started getting up at this time nearly every day, which doesn't feel too early to me as Im up then anyway, and tends to be happier (although not every day!).

It could be nightmares, it's so hard to tell, but my HV told us that they have so many different stages to go through and sleep can be disturbed for so many reasons. Is he teething at all? We now think that Tom's early waking was due to this as shortly after the early waking we realised he had 2 new gnashers!

Hope you had a better night last night anyway, x alice

p.s. Tom saw Santa at the fair yesterday, he sat on his knee and was mesmerised by a flashing nodding reindeer next to him, it was so funny, the look on his face was total disbelief and then he started to stroke Santas beard.. I was in stitches..

Hi girls,

Well earlier this morning I typed out a message to you and tried to attach a picture and then it got stuck and i lost my post, I think it has to do with the agonisingly slow connection I have, maybe I can't post pictures anymore, bloody computers grr!

So anyway I now have a small window of oppertunity to post, hurrah. OH came home earlier than expected, hurrah thus lightening my load a little.

Em you mentioned wandering dustpan and brush, did Paige wander off with it? Henry is always taking things and putting them in very curious places, mainly remote controls and telephones. Sorry your OH is going away soon. I don't know how he'd manage without you!

Lisa I def think you need to see their face before you name them, I had a list of names but didn't choose off it in the end. I like Hannah and Elizabeth (obviously I like Elizabeth! It never ever dates, is never common and has so many abbreviations such as Lizzie, Eliza, Libby, Betsy etc) I prefer George to Jory tho, although there is a couple that I see at the markets who have two kids, a boy called Yarnie and a girl called Eliana, the boy is very cute and the name has grown on me. Thing is it's totally personal and one should be able to choose what they like. I remember when I was preg avoiding the 'names' conversation in the end!

Alice glad you had a nice time away, bummer that Tom had a cold tho, precision timing as ever, how do they do it??? I too have made cards this year. What a glutton for punishment I am! I took the idea from a card they were trying to flog me at nursery (12 for £14.99 I might add!) It is 2 handprints for angels wings and a footprint for the body and they all have googly eyes stuck on. I made 40+. The footprints were fine but the handprints were a nightmare. Had to strap henry in the highchair!!! This was the photo I was trying to put on here, a pic of H sat in his chair surrounded by lots of his creations, I'll put it on facebook instead.

Maria re the waking up in a strop, well who knows, could just be a passing phase I know that is an infuriating answer, but a while back H was waking earlier, never did know why it's ok at the moment. Is he warm enough when he wakes? Does he have toys in his cot? Does he have big pooh lying in wait? Henry always has one waiting for me. I can think of better thinigs to deal with first thing in the morning! Good luck tho. Henry had reflux but its gone now, hopefully caleb will grow out of it too, its a pain tho as they are constantly wearing a bib and I was always covered in milk stains. Was it a no no then for lactose intolerance?

I Plan to go swimming tonight, have been reasonablt good this week. I bought a pair of size 12 trousers yesterday.Albeit stretchy ones. Must lose weight this week...heres hoping

Right better go and get on. Good luck with your mornings Maria xx

Hi all

very quiet on here today.

Liz, I have too have started giving C showers instead of baths.  He hates having baths, having his hair washed and screams the house down and never sits down.  So I thought right, if your going to scream and stand up you can have a shower, scream and stand up.  This way the whole process is a lot quicker.  I dont understand why he hates having a bath so much.

C has also learnt how to climb onto things.   We put up our tree on Sunday and he was climbing all over the box and jumping on it.  He has also started kicking his little soft ball around the house.  I cant beleive he seems to do and learn something new and different each week.  I am just loving this stage but I seem to think that at every stage!

Alice, how did you glitter card making go?  messy?

anyway better go all and hope all mums and bubba's are doing ok.
