Hi all,
Tara r.e the booby leaking, its perfectly normal, mine didnt leak at all with jojo but i dunno if mine are normal this time as its very excessive and the more pains i get the worse it is!!!I dunno how you are putting up with yours,i had to have a little cry earlier cos i still got 6 weeks due of this but the way i feel at the mo i very much doubt it will be that long.I dunno how to describe it but something in my head is telling me that my time is almost up (although could just be wishful thinking) i've definately felt alot different in myself recently...bit strange but to cut a long story short i am alot more emotional,i'm constantly in a world of my own,i wanna clean non-stop and i feel really heavy and like im gonna get the biggest period ever at any min.A few weeks time and i'll be getting the pineapple on the go.lol.

Luce lol,i couldnt push myself,id probably give myself a hernia now and dont want that on top of piles, heartburn and strechmarks.looool.glad they will replace the bits, hopefully wont be too long before they get it all to you.

Ha ha ha jenny i feel exactly the same,i cant remember this last time or surely i wouldnt do it again but now i look back...

How is everyone else?xxx

Hi Steph, no your right you certainly dont want a hernia on top of everything else you are going through. I hate to hear that you are struggling but you have done really well up until now hun and theres not many more weeks to go. Like you said, your probably not going to make it til your due date so try and remain positive.

How is Joe reacting about having a new baby brother or sister, or is he still too young to understand?

Debbie, heehee ive just bought myself (well baby actually) one of those gorgeous car seat cosy toes.  They look so snuggly and i think with the winters getting as cold as they are it'll be lovely to keep baby nice and warm.
He is loving it some days and kissing the bump and not so sure the others and patting the bump a bit over-enthusiastically.I think he knows big changes are coming...i got him a card the other day for when the baby is born that says 'to my new big brother-can't wait to be friends' on it.That was what hit it home that there was gonna be 2 soon.lol.(and set me off blubbing in the middle of tescos!)cashier looked quite scared that i was gonna drop the baby there and then!

OOOOH GUESS WHAT...(drum roll please)...we have HEATING..Feels so toasty now!

Joesmummy - a bit like you a feel ready to go but having experienced these feelings on 2 and 3 i'm not convinced in my case. A good way of telling if your not squeemish is to put two fingers in the old LG and if you can feel the neck of your cervix very low and it feels like your lips (on your face) rather than the end of your nose your pretty much ready to go saw that on a midwife training program! HeHe thoroughly gross though

The other thing is lots of jelly like discharge - so i'm pretty sure i have ages to go yet - isnt pregnancy lovely.

Luce - i've got one too lots of the nice baby chairs come with them already but i do like to be able to wash stuff so i'm going to get a fleece one as well.

Debbie i had a show 3 weeks ago but got loads and loads of discharge this week that feels a bit trickly recently (not my waters though)
Ha ha when i had an internal then i was 1cm,soft and slightly effaced but i walked around like that for 10 weeks with joe so i know it dosent mean anything.
God if men or childless women read through this thread the human race would be an endangerd species!!!

Joesmummy - i'm quite sure between us we have also put a number of first time mums off too hehe. But no one said it was pretty. God 10 weeks is a long time though andy pandy was about my longest and that was 3 days of proper gunge and then into labour.

My OH got out of bed the other day as he said as i was snorring and i was trumping in my sleep he said it was gross! I think hes forgotten were not always in control but when bubba kicks hard it does make you want to trump. I have spare pants and knickers at work just in case -i know i'm a bit paranoid but it makes me feel better. But i will be suprised if i go much beofre my due date i can think i'll hang in till the first week of november.

Do you know what your going to do with Joe when you go into labour?

Show/hide user stats

R we all gunna have early november babies lol! Perhaps we'll set a trend & have them all at the beginning of Nov!!

Luce yes back 2 back labour is more painful, u get more of a back labour (hence why my bck is sore now) plus it is harder 2 push baby out. I'm not worried as he is half & half at the mo so I'm confident he will move if I get off my arse lol! I always expected 2 have another big baby, I know it's only a rough guide but I am measuring 2wks bigger & coz of how the baby is positioned my bump is flatter when I lay down so when he turns I will measuring bigger lol!

Laura, I wouldn't recommend work at this minute rest up hun. Alex was 9lb 4oz which would have been ok if he went full term but he was 2wks & 2 days early lol! As with everything pregnancy brings we will just have 2 wait & c!! I love big chubby babies though but I'm only 5"3!

Steph glad u have got heating, snap these last few weeks r really gunna bother me lol!

Hi Debbie, how was work 2day?? Not sure I'm brave enough 2 try 2 feel my cervix lol!

from Alex xxx

Alex wants 2 count my spots, trouble is they r loads as he means my freckles lol!!!!!
Debbie-ha ha ha.If you got an job-description before you did it you wouldnt do it.
We have been told already that we could leave him with any of the family so whichever is free at the time if its the day but because i am booked in for a home birth if it all kicked off in the middle of the night i'd probably just leave him to sleep and if he woke up then family are only just down the road and one of them is always about.
It was the longest 10 weeks of my life as i was sure he was gonna arrive at any min (even though i never had a single sign) i kept thinking that if i was dilating he would arrive...how wrong i was!The difference between this bubs and him though is he never engaged till labour and this one has (but pops up and down).

Jenny - i dont envy you such a big baby i do like them little but not fragile. I wont be feeling my cervix either i think i'd rather not know! Also i can just imagine OH's face if he found me doing that he already thinks i'm potty without him seeing that lol I'm thinking of taking thursday and friday off work as i'm tired and having a bit of time to yourself is soooo nice.
Show/hide user stats

Joesmummy - i'm not expecting this one to engage at all -i cant be bothered to guess anymore but it is a little distracting when suddenly you realise the BH's have suddenly become regular i get arround to timing them i get 1 or 2 and they disapear into thin air. Hopefully all that practice will make things a bit quicker.

Right i'm off for a bit of tv in bed as the kids of all gone up to read in bed so i can relax now.

Lol debbie i know what you mean.I wont be feeling for anything in my LG as i'd probably be more disappointed if anything was happening and it was 6 weeks to wait...Just gotta try and remember that the baby isnt due till 16th so have to expect to go that far anything less is a bonus!I have been having them very regular...every 8 mins last night but stopped again around 11pm and again this afternoon every 12 mins but again they have stopped...they never get stronger though, always the same strength so i know its all to wind me up but as much as i've had enough and would like it to all be over i desperately wanna make it to term at the same time so that everything will be ok.
Enjoy your tv viewing,i am probably gonna go to bed soon aswell.

Hi all

Luce the sizes for the Cot Bed sheets are 150 x 120 cm Hope this helps.

Antenatal was good, I asked about the mobile epidural and she said most places do that now anyway and it just means that your legs are not totally numb, i dosnt mean you can get up an move around like I previously thought so im gutted about that.

Hope youve had a nice evening girls im going to bed now as its been a long day

Luv K xxx

Kirsty I was told 2day that every epidural is mobile until u keep having top ups lol!

Steph (Joesmummy) ah bless that card sounds really sweet, poor you crying in tescos, those damn hormones hey.
Ooo heating...congratulations.
Do you have to do much in the way of preparation for a home birth?

Debbie, you made me laugh when you said about your OH saying you were snoring and trumping in your sleep ...lol how embarrassing.

Jenny, atleast you know to expect a big baby and can prepare yourself for that. I would love to have an idea as to how much baby is going to weigh, but there really is no way of knowing without a scan is there?
Alex wants to count your freckles? Wow thats gotta be a great way to keep him amused for a bit.

Kirsty, yeah that helps loads thanks hun. My mattress is 140x70cm so they wont fit if they are fitted sheets. Are they? Saves me a trip to matalan.
Unfortunately my hospital doesnt do mobile epidurals, apparently you need closer monitoring!

Hello ladies...
Is any one about? It is all kicking off here again but i am in alot more pain than i have been so far...wondering if it is just BH's this time but can't really remember what 'real' contractions feel like. They are coming all acoss my back, down the backs of my legs, across my bump and i am really shaky and feeling incredibly sick.To top it all of my tummy feels very dodgy like i had a night on the town followed by a vindaloo (if you know what i mean?!!!)
Gonna sit for a bit, take some paracetamol and see if they settle, hoping someone will be about to take my mind off it.xxx
Edited: Today 02:16

Hi Joesmummy - i'm up for breakfast and a cup of tea going to head up again after 3 probably just to give my food time to settle!

Those contractions do sound like the real think particularly the dodgy tummy, think you should probably book in with the mw this morning for a check up especially if your feeling a bit leaky as a slow drain of the waters is sometimes a bit dodgy you just want to check thats not happening. Stick a cool towel on your forehead and make sure you keep your tem down as at this stage if you have picked up a tummy bug that can set you off as well.

Anyone up?

Steph as Debbie says i would speak to MW asap

Debbie - I also have been making the trumping in my sleep hence why steven been sleeping in the spare room for over 4 weeks.

Spent the night tossing and turning so decided just to get up

Morning Girls!

Can't sleep at all, infact I think all i'v been doing is trying to sleep lol!
