Hi Girls How are you!

For the past week Iv been getting dull pains in my belly button, and a sorta "sore" feeling when i push my hand on it.

the past couple of days its got so sore i cant walk without it hurting, when i cough its the most painfull

Does anyone know what it is? Or has it too? Or had it?
I tried looking it up but i cant find any info

Hi tara.. im not sure... but no matter how serious or not it is you should go straight to ither your doctor or midwife.. the only thing that I had that was painfull was shooting pains around my womb /uterus.. but when I went to see the midwife..all she said its just your womb/ uterus stretching to make room for your baby to grow...

but yer just go and see the gp or midwife and explain to them and im sure they will find out what it is... sorry i cant be as much help..

Do you moisturise? I know it wont help a great deal but if the skin is getting really tight the moisturising lotion might help to soften the skin a little and help it to stretch easier.
yep i moisturise twice a day (st ives) cos of my really dry flakey skin i get, no stretchmarks yet and i am alot larger in the belly department than i was! and found the hips i have filled out too

Tara, I had this problem and am now almost 39 weeks pregnant with my first and still occasionally get it although it is not as uncomfortable as what yours sounds.

It started roundabout month four or five when my belly started to grow and all it is is your belly button expanding gradually.  I have a very deep belly button and still mine has not 'popped' out but if you have a shallow belly button, then I think this is why you are so sore because there simply is not enough skin to stretch.  I also had a peircing (whcih I have took out) and I think this added to the problem.  My baby is so big now that she kicks my belly button from the inside and you can see it literally flick up - it's great although is midly sore!

I used Palmers Cocoa formula and to this day, still not one stretchmark so perhaps try that to help your skin to expand.

Hope I helped.

Hi jo thankyou for reply i will look out for that forumla and knowing me i'll stock up! i'v been using st ives elastin at the mo, but all it does is make my belly feel wet for ages xxxx
