Hi all

Just a quick question...

I'v got a carseat that was given to me by my sister

BUT i'v got a silvercross pram coming (second hand) without a carseat with it..

is it realy important that a travel system/ pram etc has the matching carseat or is it ok that the carseat wont fit the pram?

i'll only be using the car seat in the car and for nothing more as i dont have a car just a family member who has offered to pick me and baby up from the hospital when we are ready to go home..

is it too much messing about when the travel system doesnt come with a car seat?

thanks, Tara x

hi Tara,

its only important for them to be the same if you are going to use the car seat attached to the pram, as they are designed to fit the pram safely!(although certain makes are universal) If you are using the car seat purely as a car seat then its fine. i do have a matching car seat but thats purely because i got a better deal buying it that way, i am not usinig it attached to pram as i personally dont like the idea (car seats are exactly what they say for cars)...as babies are not allowed in them for longer than 2 hrs! but you still see people pushing babies around in them all day! (sorry for the rant ha ha)

hope that helps

good luck with your little one

Hi Lisa thanks for the advice hun

I'v got a new pram on the way an it has a car seat attatched to go with it aswell as the carrycot, i think this will be more practicle, and ican always use the other spare carseat in someone elses car

i was thinking about this as i dont drive and Taxi's dont allow babies in without carseat (well obviously lol) so would be better if i needed shopping to just fix it all together

thanks again xxx
