hi everyone, ive just joined this forum, as i need help.

On thursday i found out i was just over 5 weeks pregnant, and i was so excited and happy. then on friday afternoon i started bleeding really lightly, so just hoped for the best. Then on saturday, i started bleeding heavily, a bright red blood like a cut and i got really bad pains.

I went to a and e and the doc said it might not be anything to worry about and he felt my stomach and said it felt fine but obviously as it is so early he couldnt tell properly.

He booked me in for an ultra sound scan tomorrow afternoon, but he has kept me hopeful about the whole thing, so was wondering if anyone had any advice or has been through the same thing?

looking forward to hearing from you all.

hey hun. i'm laura and i'm nearly 14wks pregnant with my 2nd child. i haven't been through what you're going through but i'm sending you lots of baby glue xxx

Hannah until you go for a scan then it's hard to say.
Try not to worry though as i bled quite a bit around 5or6 weeks with my little boy and he is now 18months.
Bleeding is not always the worst case scenario but the fact you are also having pains suggests there may be a potential problem.
Good luck hun,i hope everything will be fine. Please keep me updated.xxx

Hello hun

Please try to keep calm, easier said than done babe! BUT its not always m/c if bleeding, i bleed right through my preg with ds2, and he is a healthy lively5 year old, Lisa Pink on Due March thread, has bleed alot in this preg, at one point she had a big red heavy bleed, and she had a scan on Fri, and baby is fine, and she seen a heartbeat

Sometimes bleeding "just happens" and is nothing to worry about, i truly hope thats the case with you honey... ALL the best for tomorrows scan, and let us know how you get on....

Ps.... be prepared they might not see anything on a scan at 6 weeks tho and thats normal, its best at 6 weeks, tho with good equiptmnet, and a good sonographer they might pick it up, they will do a HCG blood level, a level of 1500 can see baby on a scan......

Love Ash xxxx
