Hi

i would follow your heart and choose what you feel is best for your baby at the time.

My husband wanted to feed his daughters as he felt he needed to do this basic yet wonderful & nuturing task - I was happy breastfeeding and my girls were very content - my husband and i around 8 weeks old  introduced a bottle of cow and gate formula every so often maybe once a week or 3 times  or one a night when i was very tired or if they seemed excessively hungry.

I didn't have any problems with it and neither did they. However I couldn't  give them the bottle because they just wouldn't take it as they prefered me to breastfeed them.

Also if they don't take the bottle well you can try dipping the teat in breast milk as this helps too.

please please follow your own heart everyone knows breast is best but a happy mum is even better... goodluck x
