I am really sorry to hear that. I went for a tummy scan last yr too see if they could find anything, they didn't. I have heared about phantom pregnancies =/ do you think that i could be having one of them then?

I am only 1 week and 5 days late.I will see my doc asap

Hi Claire.

I have used the clear blue digital ones too. I have got to phone the doctors in the morning i will get an appointment then. Another girl wrote a comment about when she was having the same symptoms as me and she went too her doctor and in the end she found out that she PCO (polysistic ovaries) and that all the symptoms where imaginary..

I hope that's not what i've got..

just to give you some hope, i was 2 weeks late until i finally got a pos. im currently nearly 25 weeks preggers with baby number 2, has a m/c in jan. so dont be disapointed if you get negatives, just wait for period to show or not to!

I am sure once u have been to the docs u will no one way or another. I hope it isnt all imaginary sympton, ive never heard of that but i read the comments as well. That is really horrible to think u r actually pregnant but its all imaginary, i dont know how i would deal with that. It is all very strange.

I feel so lucky to be pregnant and not to have had any problems conceiving, i love this site tho cos it puts u in touch with so many ppl who can all sare the experiance.

I hope u get an appointment with the doc soon and then at lease u will know one way or another. It must be horrible not knowing for def n feeling in limbo. x x

I hope that is the case, i cant not know for much longer it is mentally draining ): I have read about it in a mag before, but have never heared of it since. It is really horrible; one part of my brain is tellingme that i am because i have a lot of the symptoms, but the other half knows that i ain't that iam only imaging it because i want it so badly want it too be true.

You are so lucky to have conceived with no problems, i just hope that they get me sorted out ASAP, so then i can start trying again.

Good luck witht he birth of your little one, i bet s/he with the perfect in everyway.

    No i dont have any children im still trying for my first. Im the same as you, i want a baby so so badly and every time AF came it broke my heart. What you have to concider is that a lot of AF symptoms are similar to pregnancy so they can easily be mistaken for the other.

     All the symptoms i was experiancing were exagerated due to the fact i wanted to be pregnant so badly. The doctors didnt tell me i was imagining the symptoms but obviously i was hunny. There are also things call phantom pregnancies. I ladiy on the TTC thread had one when she was 16. she went for her 12 weks scan to find there was nothing there but that is her story to tell if she would like to share.

Im not saying your not pregnant hun i really really do hope you are. My mum didnt get a positive pregnancy result with my sister until she was 5-6 months pregnant. Each person is differnt hunny. Best thing to do is just wait to see the doctor and get them to confirm if you are or not. I really reall hope you are though.

hi  girls,

 i had my period on the 20th of august and it was heavy like always have been. but i was fertile on the 30 of august until the 4th of august. i had unprotected sex on the 3rd where i was most fertile. i was expecting my period on the 18th of september but ended up being 2 days late.but it was a strange period where it wasnt heavy or painful.the first day it was like spotting where i used a panty liner and it was light and brownish-red. then for the next two days it was red like if it was really ma period but still no cramps and now im still on it but its like brown and stretchy. where i dont even use anything. i took a pregnancy test on the 17th and it was negative.i have a loss of appetit,very moody,very tired, etc

 i had a miscarriage in july 2008 but a complete one. no d&c.

what does all this mean?what could this be?

          hope your ok. Im new to the forum and have just been reading this thread, i have two children and althought everyone is different i can only comment on my own experience. I have had two healthy pregnancies and three miscarriages so have experienced both sides. However in all of my pregnancies there have been more or less the same symptoms:

Tiredness: which you usually try to put down to a hectic life as you don't want to disappoint yourself.

Slight stomach cramping and back ache: had these in early pregnacy with both my boys.

Change in appetite: be it eating more or eating less and fancying the strangest of concoctions more so in 1st trimester than any other time.

Sore enlarging boobs: i usually just put this down to expecting my period.

Desperate urge to pee alot with not much notice: you would think this would be worse when you get big but it was early on for me, also a change in your toilet habits as a result of your food intake changing.

Emotions: wanting to cry for nothing. Phoning your hubby / chap and telling him you love him, then shouting at him, only to phone him back 10 mins later saying your sorry and why does he love you cos your a right minger, then switching again and asking what he wants for tea.

Outlook: you suddenly become in your own little world where all you can think about is how bad you want it and you can feel all the above symptoms but daren't let yourself for one minute think it could have happened.

Well, ladies this is the best info i can give you on my personal experience i too hope that soon, when the times right i can have these feelings again and wonder if the miracle has happened, although not sure at the mo if this will be an option for us. iv had sore boobs,constipation,strange period(spotting and brownish red and not heavy at all and also no cramping.usually my period is completly opposite.i had sex on my most fertile day so.........

 what may be ur advise on this

p.s. i did have a miscarriage in july this year.

do u think im pregnant?how long did u have to wait to get a positive pregnancy test?

I would give your docs a call and see what they have to say, if you dont feel normal anyway even if your not pregnant it is worth getting it checked out. I tested the day after AF was due and it was a positive but like some of the other girls have said they didnt get one until sometime later,

Was there a reason they didnt give you a d&c even tho you didnt have a complete miscarriage? as this may be causing some of the problems/symptoms you have been getting. (fingers crossed you are pregnant tho hun just keep positive)

i had a miscarriage in july at 6 weeks then the doc said that my body would go back to normal but for some time my tummy has been swollen and ive been feeling moviments but she says that she didnt feel anything there. all my test have been negative so ive got no idea what it could be.

iv heard women say that they only got a positive at 6 months so ive got no idea?

what do u say to this?

i really dont have a clue about the negative tests if they were pregnant i have never come across this myself, but if you dont have a period you can asked to be scanned and that will tell you 1 way or another for sure

Hi Marilia,

         i know perople who have experienced a light bleed around the time their period is due right upto about 16 weeks.

      Also, i used first response pregnancy test around the day my period was due and got a positive result so i think there really good.
