Leanne hun we will be here to support each other definitely. Whenever you need to chat we are here, i am always online at night after about 8ish, it's a bit difficult for me to get online during the day as my daughter is 20 months and i need eyes in the back of my head.
My troubles started shortly after my daughter was born with brown discharge stuff always appearing so eventually i went to my gp and told him. If you read on the trying to concieve section and look at 'body problems' my story is there.
Did you have any blood tests before this scan? I had 2 lots of blood tests which showed i didnt ovulate and that my hormones weren't where they should be. I forget exactly how they are but i think 2 of them were low and 1 was high and it should be the other way round or something.
Try not to get too down hun and remember we are here for you

It's not the tube dye thingy i have to go to hospital for on 9th it's pelvic ultrasound. I'm getting so mixed up with it all. I have no idea what this ultrasound is or what it's for.
I had my letter yesterday about the tube dye thingy (called 'hysterosalpingogram' on the letter) and have got to ring them to say my periods are irregular so they can arrange an appointment but i will have to take a formal negative pregnancy test result.
Does anyone know what this ultrasound is for?
Leanne, how are you feeling hun?
How is everyone else?

 Hi Lynsey,
Not too bad today thanks. Still keep bursting into tears at the slightest wee thing though.
When I went for my scan on Friday, they checked my uterus to see if it was okay and to see how the lining was forming. Then she checked my ovaries for the overall size and she then counted the follicles in each. If you have over 12 in each they are considered polycystic.
I havent had any blood tests yet, I have been referred back to my GP for that now. x

did she tell you how many you had hun?
i have a pelvic ultrasound on the 9th (the day my sis goes for her 20 week scan) and on the 17th july i have my tube dye thing.
i hate the waiting! and both times they are quite late on in the day so i will be all day fretting on both accounts.

 Hi Lynsey,
Yes, she told me I had 17 in one and 20 in the other.
I was lucky, my appointment was in the morning, although I ended up being a reck for the rest of the day and couldnt go back into work.
I got an internal ultrasound and I am still bleeding yet from it. It was not nice.
Hope its better for you. Try not to fret too much. I just keep trying to be positive and say to myself, well at least they now know so that they can try and do things to help now. x

Hi Peapod, just managed to turn comp on-not sure how it went really-i asked her lots of questions but she said she wasn't allowed to tell me anything and that i have to wait until i get my appointment for the results which will be after the tube dye thingy which is on tuesday 17th at 3pm.Thankyou for asking x x
How are you now leanne? And how is everyone else?
Had a terrible day today-my nose started bleeding and it was pumping out and wouldnt stop and was also going down my throat as well as down my nose and showed no signs of stopping after nearly an hour so i rang my gp as i was alone with my little girl as my husband was at work. It took ages to stop bleeding-the doc tried to convince me to go to casualty but luckily it did stop eventually. But Paul had to come home from work early as i was told i had to rest lots after such a bad nose bleed.

Hi, I'm Lou and have been TTC since June 06 when I came off the pill.
Its a long story but I found out in May that I had PCOS. I have since had the internal scan and the tube dye (which was awful).
I now know unofficially that my tubes are not blocked and now have to wait till my appointment on 13 August to find out what we do next.
I would agree with you all the worst part is the waiting as I was only referred to a specialist April.
One point worth a mention is if you are having really irregular AF's then they will give you tablets so that you can have the tube dye. Also make sure you take some towels as it is messy after.
I am lucky that I do know two people with PCOS but neither have tried to get pregnant. I do have problems with my weight but have found that Slimming World has worked wonders as I have managed to loose at between 1-2lb a week for the last five weeks (which is a miracle for me).
I have not been on the forum for ages as have been depressed by my condition but hopefully we will all be able to support each other.

Hi All I am new to this board. We have beeing TTC for about 2 years now. I initially went to the doctors having headaches all the time and irregular periods. I had blood tests and i had hig prolactin, this was stopping me ovulating. So i was referred to a consultant who sent me for loads more blood tests and he decided i had PCOS. I am overweight, with a BMI of approx 37. He gave me Metformin for Insulin Resistance, Bromocriptine (Parlodol) for high prolactin. I had an internal scan in 2006 which said i didnt have cysts, and one this year which said i did! My periods are now pretty regular and i had the 21 day progesterone test to confirm i am ovulating. This month i used Ovulation Predictor Kits and i ovulated on cycle day 17, i would normally be due on my period today, so i am keeping my fingers crossed that i don't!! Well thats my story, i'd love to share my experiences with you all! Sara xx
