Hi,

Feeling pretty low at the moment and needed to write all my feelings down. I've had 2 consecutive miscarriages and suspect I've just had a third. The first one my husband and I found out when we went for our 12 wk scan. They said the baby had died at around 8 wks. The horrible thing was that we'd told a few friends that I was pregnant and my mum in her excited mode told EVERYONE she knew, so that was doubly hard to come to terms with. The second time I got pregnant I had an early scan at around 7 wks and the sac was there but no foetus present. I decided to miscarry naturally that time (big mistake!) as I hated having the ERPC before. Anyway, at around 12 wks I started to miscarry. After about a week everything was still going ok until one afternoon at work I realised that I was bleeding extremely heavily and had to leave to go home. Once there I was doubled over in pain and started being sick. I eventually called my dad who took me to A & E and I was admitted overnight. Anyway, we decided to leave it a couple of months before we tried again until last month. I started getting pregnancy type symptoms at about 2 wks and was convinced that I was pregnant again. I took a pregnancy test at 4 wks but it was negative. A few days later I had my period and it was a milder version of the miscarriage with blood clots. I'm pretty sure this was my 3rd failed pregnancy but would a Dr accept this even though I didn't confirm the pregnancy through a test? I don't think I could go through this all again. I'm getting so down and feel really depressed at the moment. Lots of friends are getting pregnant and I'm finding myself getting so jealous and hating myself for it! Even celebrities getting pregnant are hard to accept! How sad.   Anyone got any words of wisdom????

hi sarah, big hugs honey im so sorry for what you have been through. they do investigate after 3 miscarriages and if i were you i would tell them that you had a positive home  test rather than a negative one. i just think it would be tragic of you had to wait to have a third confirmed before anything was done about it. when i was pregnant with my son i never had a doctors test, i just went straight on to seeing the midwife, so i dont think its as strict as if its not confirmed by the doctor it wasnt real.  there are lots of women on the trying for a baby after miscarriage thread who have had 3 or more miscarriages and have been investigated. they might be able to give you the lowdown on what tests they do etc. plus were all really friendly and have all been through it. plus virtually everyone on there has since got pregnant and are well into the pregnancies!

i hope you feel better soon and im sure there are lots of women on here that will help you. xxxx
