Hi Jenny,
When are you due? I've heard of a lot of people taking rasberry leaf tablets for 2 weeks before due date as it really helps to bring on stronger contractions, which leads to a quicker birth! Would imagine its a bit more painful then but you have a quicker birth which is a very good thing! Good luck! lol

Hi Jenny,
I took 2-3 tablets of Evening primrose oil daily which is meant to soften
the cervix. And apparently if you eat pineapple, thats supposed to bring on labour!

Hi Gemma

I`m due in 5 weeks so bit early for me to try !Lol!

Friend of mine tried fresh pineapple (tip off midwife) and I`ve heard raspberry leaf tea works aswell.

My midwife told me that the best thing though is sex, so if you can manage it try again!

Good Luck!!

Definitely eat fresh pineapple and as much as you can manage, i had it for breakfast, dinner and tea!!! i think it definitely worked for me. I just thought that it was an old wives tale!!! my labour was actually ok and midwife commented that cervix was nice and soft and asked me if i has been eating pineapple!!
good luck

I had raspberry leaf tea, pineapple, the curry got hotter by the day, had sex & I played on the dance mat for the Playstation. Get your partner to rub your ankles apparently that helps. I did all the above with my 2nd & she was 4 days early, compared to my first being 13 days late. Is this your 1st? Good luck & let us all know when baby arrives.

4 days over my due date and have tried raspberry leaf tea, curry and still nothing. I will try the pineapple thing today and fingers crossed I will be letting you know I have had our baby!

apparently there is a pressure point between ur thumb and finger which if rubbed continually in a circular motion can bring on labour or so i have been told not tried it but have just over 7 wks left so will give it a try nearer the time!!!!!!

also try massaging your nipples aparently it releases a hormone which can bring on contractions, but yeh tried curries and hot baths and sex, which was very uncomfortable!
