Hi claire,  im Dawn mum to 3 and 23weeks with my 4th.

My first i came off pill and it took me 4mnths i  miscarried then concieved again 12mnths later, had a boy 9lb 8oz.

My 2nd came off pill and got pregnant 2weeks later, had a girl 10 4oz.

My 3rd i was told i had suspected cancer after numerous tests, i had suffered loss of periods, did 9 pregnancy tests and had a blood test (all negative). Gynecologist did biopsy on my cervix and i was booked in for a scan why i waited for the results, they thought it was ovarian cancer, at my scan i was actually 5mnths pregnant and told i was having a girl. No cancer just a healthy baby which had wished to remain a secret, she is now 21months and weighed in at a whopping 11lb 6oz

As for my 4th, result of 1 missed pill!! just 1 pill! bet you couldnt believe it either when it happened to you,

Been told were having a boy and he is going to be huge, im not diebetic, just have big babys, so having growth scans every 6 weeks. I have enquired about a casarean but been refused one as i delivered the other 3 naturally without a stitch so vry lucky really.

Feel very lucky as we will have 2 of each and my husband is fantastic with me, really helpfull and works really hard, bless his cotton socks.

He has agreed to the snip when our son is born as i am only 25 and the docs wont do my tubes till im 30. like 4 toddlers isnt enough at my age, certainly wont want anymore!!

Hope it goes really well for you and you get caught quick, i have been there before with my 1st and it was bloody hard, sitting on the toilet crying looking at the paper realising i had got another period. On the other hand my 2nd was 2week never got a period after my pill.

I hear that your body is most likley at getting caught 14days when you first come off it. So good luck and get at it straight away.

Hi all

 Im in same situation.  I came off the pill three weeks ago.  We said we wouldnt try straight away to get my body dosed up with vitamins, but then had unprotected sex a week later.

 I now have what feels like period pains but only a little bit of blood after sex.  Now today, nothing at all.

 Pain hasnt gone away but am I being silly to think this could be the bit of blood they talk about that may show with pre-pregnancy hormones?

 I dont want to be silly and mention it every time to my partner...he will go insane!

It can take some women one cycle for the pill to come out there system or a few cycles, it just depends hun...

So i would imagine your due a period anytime, the blood after sex is a worry though sometimes, when was your last smear? I would advise you to make an appoinmtnet at the doc for a wee check up or smear, or with the nurse if you dont want to see your doc lol

I had bleeding after sex a few years back, and it turned out to be a tiny errosion on my cervix, a skin tag like thing thats nothing to worry about that can bleed and bruise during sex...

Or it could be an implantation bleed if you have mayby been lucky enough to Ovulate this month, but to be safe i would go and see the nurse for a smear if your not up to date hun, and join us fab ladies on the TTC thread who are all on the road to having a baby xxx

 Thanks for the advice.  Went to see pharmacist today to confirm as felt silly getting pregnancy test as very unlikely that I am pregnant, and she said it could be period pains doubled due to coming off the pill, or i could be pregnant!

 Think its too early to tell but these pains sure are weird.  She asked if I have other simptons too but Im only tired (but my job is fairly relentless) so I cant tell the difference!

No sore boobs or anything else.

Also, it may sound really silly, but can you only get pregnant during those three/four days after your period of the ovulating time?  Surely not?  I think i've misunderstood my book...or didnt listen in sex education...sorry to be so stupid?

I'm hoping someone can relate to or give me some advice.

I stopped taking Microgynon 30 (on my G.P's advice) on 14th June and had my 'period' on the 17th as normal.  Since then I've had regular unprotected sex with my partner in the hope of conceiving.  About 2-3 weeks ago I had a very dull ache in my pelvic area which was aggravated when I sat down, stood up and took my first few steps...intercourse is also painful.  Been back to my G.P. who prescribed antibiotics incase it's a mild pelvic infection which I am in the process of taking and no longer have any pain.  

I know it can take time for periods to regulate themselves after stopping the pill but I've been experiencing some 'symptoms'...sore nipple (just the one!), bloated feeling, period type pains and for the last day (on and off) have had brown discharge which today has become quite heavy.

Taken several HPT and all negative although out of 3 pregnancies, my 1st was a false negative, my 2nd was a faint positive and my 3rd strong positive (ended in miscarriage) ... 

I guess I'm just wondering if my body is getting itself back to normal after being on the pill or whether there's still a possibility I'm pregnant!?!?!?!?
