Hi,
I began weaning my little boy Olver, who is 22 weeks old, a week ago. He had sweet potato with b'milk for the 1st 3 nights - loved it. I then brought brocolli into the equasion which again, he loved. He had the both for 2 nights and the past 2 nights has not wanted anything to do with either. He has wriggled and cried so I'm not pushing it. As he's been a little unwell this week, I thought he may have a sore throat but offered him some mashed banana which he wolfed down.
Why, after such a good start on the vegges, is he suddenly refusing them?
Any ideas
Angie

If he`s not well he may go off his food but don`t worry he should start eating it again when he`s better. Most people prefere sweet things so that prob why he ate the banana. Try him with some other veg to see if that tempts him. I know this sounds werid mixture but I used to give my daughers a spoon of dinner, then a spoon of pud, spoon dinner, spoon pud & so on, that worked for me. Hope he feels better soon.

Happy Mothers Day.

thanks Claire
You were right - he's feeling much better today and managed the sweet potato and spinich too. Shuddered a bit at the spinich but got stuck in which is great as it's my fave veg too.
Cheers
Angie
