Hi Sarah
I'm 5ft 1 so have the same problem. I have a maclaren xt but have never really liked it as the handles are too high. I'm one of those mums who have had as many pushchairs as hot dinners (it's an addiction) so can probably advise on most pushchairs. I like all of the other maclarens eg quest as they have lower level handles that aren't as high as the xt, but don't adjust. I used to have RSI in my wrists so it can be a problem sometimes, and I live up some steps so have to haul everything up. One newish buggy I have is the micralite which although has slightly temperamental folding and a very small basket, has a great balance and is extremely easy to push - the only one I can steer/push just holding on with one hand. The handle is like on a bike and you can rotate it to the right angle. Good on rough ground (beach) and very lightweight. Wheels come off. It's good for an older child as it only has a little recline - not flat. My son likes it (2yrs) and I've upgraded it for my next child with a carrycot. I would recommend trying it. Has 2 big pneumatic wheels at back and smaller swivel ones at front.
Good luck, Jan
