Have just seen an ad for a fertility monitor that uses saliva to show when you are ovulating, it is reusable and does not require any test strips so is relatively cheap, has anyone had any experience of these or become pregnant when using this as a fertility tool?
I bought one of these but could never work out what it meant, maybe i didn't put enough saliva on it but when i looked through the machine after the time i couldn't see anything!! But you may have a different experience to me, also i bought mine four years ago so technology may have progressed!!!
thanks thats a great help, think i may invest in a clear blue or persona monitor instead as i have read about lots of people who have conceived in the first few months of using these, we have only been trying for a short time, this will be our 6th cycle and the opks dont seem to work for me and caused to much stress and i cant seem to remember to take my temp each day even tho i try!
I tried the persona monitor and i found it very expensive and after two years of trying gave up using it and then found out the next month that i was pregnant!! My sons now three and a half and i have a two year old daughter.
With my last pregnancy which sadly i had a mc at 13 weeks i tried ovulation sticks that i bought from the internet that were about £20 for 40 tests and i fell pregnant after using them for a few months.
I think that sometimes the more you try to get pregnant the more stressed you get and then it doesn't happen.
I used one, very easy to use as I found it easy to see when I was fertile, we conceived almost immediately which is quite a feat as I was 40 at the time, I recommend them to all my friends as they're cheap and re-usable.
