if you've got any comments on the new user review set-up then let us know here. There are a couple of small things that we know need fixing, but you should be able to use the system with no problems.

It looks good Maria. I particularly like the new ratings, they make a lot more sense than the standard 3 ratings that were there before.

What does that mean for the reviews that were posted earlier, will the ratings all be wrong now?

My understanding Julie is that the reviews will automatically updated to fit in with the new style. So you don't have to do anything to update them but they will still be avilable for everyone to read.

I'll ask Maria to confirm that's the case.

There was some discrepancy with the ratings, yes, as you could only vote in 3 categories before and now you can sometimes vote in 5. When they were taken across to the new ratings system quality and value ratings were in the wrong place. What I've done is to go through all the reviews and make sure that the quality and value ratings, which are still there for all categories, were moved to the right place to reflect original votes. I've then taken the review comments to make sure that other, new, ratings reflect the reviewers' opinions as accurately as I can, while still totalling to the same overall total as in the original review.

You might want to go back to your old reviews and check that I've accurately represented your views, I certainly tried to. If you do have anything you want changing then use the 'alert moderator' link with changes you want made. I am, touch a huge pile of wood, pretty confident that the new ratings do justice to the original reviews though.

You may also notice that there's a slight discrepancy with review averages because of the manual editing to get the reviews back on track, we know about this and it should be fixed very soon.
