Lisa I am 38 and had my first child just over 4 months ago and he is perfect! I was told that my age was not a problem and I just paid for a private scan at 16wks to check for anything that could effect him. I am so happy and he is so cute.. we are waiting at least a year for another as I had a section.. why no I say go for it..

Ciao Tracey and Baby Luca xx

Hi Lisa, I am 36 too and have no children.  Yet.  It does worry me that I might not succeed in getting a BFP at all and end up childess, but I still soldier on, waiting for that month when AF doesn't turn up.

There is another thread on here that was started by a lady who is 41, that's quite an active thread full of ladies in our age range.

Good luck! xx

hi Lisa,

i'm 37 nearly 38 but i'm going to be trying to get preg again really soon. I had my last baby in 2006 when i was 36 and not one doc or midwife seemed to think age was a problem so if i were you i'd go 4 it!

As for morning sickness, hopefully it won't last too long and if your other kids are all at school you could rest during the day? good luck x

Hi girls

just nosying on other threads as ours is quiet today (due march 08)

My name is lynne, i am 38 and expecting my first child in 10 weeks!!! I will be 40 just a few weeks after my little un turns 1!

was trying since age 35, but my partner works away at sea for months at a time and we were both late 30s- nothing happening, so had some tests. he was fine- i found out i did not ovulate every month anymore

Had a little bit of help getting pregnant (with clomid hormone tablets). only took 3 cycles to work

i suggest if you are concerned and want to have tests have them sooner rather than later as i think you are only eligble for free fertility treatment up to age of 39

Good luck girlies
