My family is coming over at the end of the year and bringing my gorgeous nephew who will be one year and 10 months old.. will he be too old to sleep in a travel cot?

I suppose it depends how big your nephew is but I would think that a travel cot should still be okay if it is just for short-term use.  I had my friends baby for the weekend last year and he was around 16 months but he is a big lad and he slept fine in one (in fact better than he usually did at home!)  My only comment with them is that they can be quite hard as it is only a thin matttress.   My friend had got a slightly thicker mattress to go into it but obviously you have to make sure it fits well with no gaps that baby could get stuck in.  Also because your nephew will be able to stand you must give serious thought to where you place the cot so he can't reach things etc.  Hope you have a lovely time with him when he comes to visit.
