Im due to have my first baby in just over 4 weeks, not managed to meet any Manchester Mums as our antenatal classes were not continous and never saw same person twice. Thought would be nice to see if anyone in similar situation who fancies a chat and maybe meet up for a coffee??

sorry for delay, been away for a few days with the other half b4 baby arrives, how is little one doing now? Hope cold not too bad! we are having a girl (although always room for error in which case the poor thing will have  alot of pink stuff!! Im somewhat terrified about the birth, but looking forward to having her here! How was your labour? Not done any perineal massage yet, keep meaning too but wimping out!!

Me and OH went away b4 bubs arrivied....good to get a bit of time 2gether! we dont get much now. She is great....she woke up @ about 9 for her morning feed...as was up @ 5 for the other...so she is doing really well @ the min ( wont lat tho)

My labour well.....on thursday 7th (my due date)...me and OH wanted her out so we tried sex ....I stood up about 10 minlater to find water trickelling down my legs...and as I had strep B I had to go in....so off we popped to the triage suite...were they were no help at all!! They did not even examin me to see if it was my waters.....they just put me on a monitor....could see slight contractions but nothing major....I then got taken down to a ward@ about half 2 wed morning....nd they told my OH to go home and they would cll him just in case I go into full blown labour! And if not to come bk @ 9 in the morning.......so I then got woken up to a MW @ 6am to put the monitor on....and I was having tightenings but I just thought I needed  wee LOL!...nothing much was happening...so they were sening me down @ 11 to be induced! It then came to 6pm and still sat there waiting.....and another MW said they was not going to d it etc....I kicked off royal!! So @ half 6 I went down to be induced........got my room on the deliver suite...settled in! Then a doc come to check me over....I was only 2cm and it was not my wters that had gone....just my hind waters!! (if they had told me this 2start wiv I could of gone home to cope with it till my watrs did go!) So they were now saying they was not going to do naff all....so my and OH went for a walk....and I could feel a hell of alot of pressure down below...so walked bk...by this time it was about half 10! MW came in with the inducing stuff etc....checked me agian and she said "OH i dont need this your 3cm and I can break your waters" so away we went!!

@ about 11.30 I was getting contractions....sat on my ball etc and was doing really well...then about n hour later....it got more intense so I got in the bath...and OMG its supposed to slow them down etc but in my case it sped them up!! And so much pain full....I was going to get in the pool but I couldnt cope with the pain no more and I was so tired! So the MW checked me and I was only 4-5cm...and she could see how tired I was and the contractions were coming thick and fast...think it was 2 every 2 mins!!! So I decided on the epidural...CONT.....

it was so pain full as bubs was back to back! So had the epidural....but guess what it dint work on my left hand side of my body...and I had the most painfull contractions in my left hip?!?!....so just ended up on gas and air!! So I was out of it by this point LOL gas and air is brill!!! Not felt that drunk in ages! Was trying to sleep but every 2mins I was awoken by a contraction...was so tired! All i kept saying was help her out plz...I cant do it LOL! So @ about 6 i felt an almighty earge to push and the pressure was right down there.....so the MW checked me and I was fully dilated ...the best words I had heard in ages!! So @ about half 6 we started to push....legs up...and go! It feels like your going for a number 2 all the time while pushing.....I kept saying to my OH " Babe i am pooping " lol.....and he looked and said babe your not its just the feeling!! Any way she was still back to back...and slipping bk in after every BIG push I gave.....my OH said the MW was getting a little worried...but I was pushing so well! as her brow was coming out 1st.....so face up were it should be fce to the side! so @ about 7am her head came out dint really feel it as I was totally out of it with the gas and air! All I heard was pant...so I did and one tiny little push her body just slipped out!!! 7.10 on the thursday morning......she was put strait on my chest and me and OH were a blubbering mess LOL.....he cut the cord......she weight 8lb 8oz and was 51cm long!

It was hard but all woth it in the end!!!! I am so in love now.

Do you have a birth plan or any thing hun??

Hey, wow that sounds very intense!!! Yeah figured that we really wouldn't get much chance to spend time together when the little madam arrives!! I keep hearing that labour feels like you're having a huge poo, my mum is the only one who looks at me like im mad when i say that!! What hospital was that at? Really bad that they sent your OH home during your labour! How did you find out that you had strep B? Im taking part in  a trial next week actually, so hopefullyget results before baby arrives!! My friend paid about 40 pound to be tested (should be free!!) Anyway no actual birth plan, just going to see how things go, poss have epidural if things get bad! Did you manage perineal massage??

we was @ stepping hill....the MW's are so nice! I had a head MW with me and she was wonderfull....keeping me going along  with my OH. I do remember being horrible to him tho....i kept getting hot and fustraited and they do get in the way LOL. I found out from a sawb that was taken...I has a cyst down below and had it removed with out anything...no pain reliefe etc....I dint find out till I was 39wks tho, and if another MW at a standard appointment hadnt of rang the hospital I would of neva known! But as long as you get your antibiotics you and bubs will be fine!

Best way to see how things go huni...i was always adiment i was NOT having an epidural...but I had one....dint work like but hey! No neva tried perineal massage....heard of it but it dint appeal to me. But I just had a graze no tears...but had 2 stiches on the side...the consultant dint really think i needed them...but had them just in case!

When are you due huni? Do you have any names for the little one?

Yeah  most of the MW that we have seen have been really lovely! Would be nice to see the same one more than once mind! I was adamant initially that didn't want epidural, but am now open to most things! (would be quite up for an induced coma, ha!). The stitches not too bad then?

We are due around 14th-17th Nov, so in about 3 n half weeks, got my raspberry leaf tea to start taking next week so fingers crossed may be a week or so early!! We really like Megan Rose for our little mrs, my OH (Dan) seems to have decided it as a final one and has started telling people! Im hoping that we will know when we see her

How are you adjusting to being a mummy?? Have you found it easy to get out much yet? Random question but did you by any chance get to see the Kerry Katona interview on this morning with Phil and Fern?? (it was cringeworthy)

I know what you mean about seeing the same MW.....a was quite glad Ihad the same 1 through out my labour...went into labour @ the start of her shift....and she popped out as the MW was coming off shift! All the MW who come to see me are diff every time!

I had the rasberry tea and tablets from 37wks...was 2 days over. Its just supposed to help with the 2nd stages of labour! megan Rose is a FAb name..so cute!!

I am loving being a mummy....its just me and her night OH gone out.....so we are going have a bath (not 2gether tho LOL) then cuddle up on the sofa 2gether! Yeah been out quite alot....take her into stockport in her pram alot...she loves it.

I missed it on this morning...but watched it on youtube! What a complete mess she was...her medication yeah right! She was either on drugs or drunk! And the way she was with Phil and Fern was awfull!

Are you @ stpping hill? Or some were closer? Did you say you was from didsbury? I work in didsbury @ the towers business park!

Ah cuddling up on the sofa sounds v cute, i love my baths as well, cant wait to have baby in with me, tho OH says will cook her if i have it at my usual temp!!!

The MW told me to wait till this weekend to take the rasp tea just in case induces early labour (Im not holding my breath tho)

Yeah the k katona thing was a shocker, reckon def booze or drugs!!! (she's mental).

we are at Wythenshawe hopsital, which is where i work as well so made things easier, have banned work mates from visiting me in hosp without an invite though! Yeah we live in Dids, what do you do at the towers park? Be nice to meet for a coffee soon as we live pretty close!!

How are things?? Weekend away in new forest was fab thanks, really chilled! This weekend was fab too, girls from work threw me a leaving party on Fri night (left over 2 weeks ago), and then on sat my OH's sister threw me a surprise baby shower! I was so so shocked, it was lovely, all my famil there!! Had loads of presents, and baby has more clothes than she can evert wear!!

How come you dont fancy going back to work?? (not that i do either really) Back in Aug or Sept next yr! Managed to negotiate 4 days a week so not too bad!! Am getting quite scared/ excited now!! Any day in next 2 n half weeks hopefully!!!

Crimbo shopping??? LOL.....we av told ppl not to expect alot this year! Only getting the kids things!

Oh i hate my job! Its a travel agents and rubbish! Its so stressfull. And they work in shifts...9-5 and 12-8.....and there is no way I can do the 12-8 shift as my OH works in shifts as well and is not home till gone 9 some nights. I also cant so wknds anymore..9-5 on a sat??? I would never see Olivia....so 8wks b4 I am due to go bk I have to write them a letter saying what I want to do...and hopefully they will except that I can only do the 9-5 shift and no wknds! Or I get another job! LOL.

Aw thats so nice of our OH's sister! and glad you have a nice break! Olivia has got more clothes than me now....ppl keep buying them her. OH's wrk got her the cutest red christmas dress, and a little cardi to match, y/day..its so cute!

Well I am off out with my mum 2day need to tax the car and get a few bits for Olivia..thinking of getting her a little halloween outfit!

How's it going today?? I know xmas shoppin bit mental, but something tells me the next few weeks are going to be a bit crazy! Not buying for many people this year, have forewarned them that will be a meagre xmas!! Not good at doing xmas on a budget, there's so much nice stuff in the shops!! Yeah the work thing kinda sucks i work shifts and had to fight for what i want to work, spent about 4 mths sorting it out, but hopefully things are straight now so wont have to work weekends, nights and lates etc (except for the extras i will have to do to make up my wages!!)

 I know when it comes to babies ppl just love buying clothes and stuff, we live in apartment still as not managed to sell house in this crappy market, so bit short on space, esp with all the millions of baby things everywhere. Nursery looks gorgeous though!!

How cute will Olivia look in a little costume, do you have any pics on here or facebook of her?? Cant wait to meet our little one!!

Dint manage too find an outfit for her...had a very bad baby brain 2day and for got everything LOL.

We av a 3 bed house and there is still no room for all her stuff HA...she is spoilt! Not getting her alot for xmas tho...1. she wont av a clue wots going on and 2. she will be spoilt once again!

Aw hun...sorry your feeling fed up! I can totally understand how you feel...by the time I was about 37wks I had had enough!

tips= well...sex started me off LOL! Made my hind waters go.

Eat loads of pinapple (about 8 fresh 1s)

Hot curry

Bumpy car ride, or go up and down the stairs very heavy footed...supposed to help the babies head engage!

lavender oil in your bath...and you can rub it on your belly and bottom of your back..make sure you use the carryer oil if you rub it on your belly and back!

Get on your hand and knees and clean floors!

Olivia has gone to her nana's 2day in her little halloween outfit! she is there all night as me and OH are off out....I am missing her like MAD @ the min and its only been 2hours LOL.

Take that tickets wooo!! I went to see them when they were last @ the MEN arena they are brill. Me and OH are going to watch Lee evans on the 15th of NOV.

How are you doing?? Did you have good night out while Olivia with her nana? We've just been to see the new bond film, pretty good!! I went to see Take that at city of Manchester stadium, they were amazing, been to c Robbie few times as well! Love him to bits, bit biased tho as from Stoke and he went to my school!!

Will start trying out some remedies i think, bought pineapple, had chillis (accidentally) on Fri night in my chinese!, did lots of cleaning today, swimming tomorrow! have lav oil ready for birth, think ok to use concentrated tho, but smell a bit strong! My OH really likes Lee Evans and after the DVD for xmas, not a fan myself, i really like Alan Carr (not ding dong stuff tho).

We'll have to arrange a coffee get together or somethin soon.
