hi luke,
We got freya the "fisher price aquarium swing chair". Its not a bouncy chair but its swings, plays music and has lights on it. Its amazing a I know she loves being in it. The seat is also spacious enough to have a toy bext to her to play with as well. It folds well for taking it with you to others houses. It can be purchased from argos and toys r us. I found it a godsend to rock her to sleep sometimes!

We were given lots of vouchers for Milly so bought her the Fisher Price Kick and Play bouncy chair. It plays music and lights up and since about a week ago (9weeks) she has been ablet o use the other function on it, where she kicks her legs onto the pads and the music and lights come on, she giggles when this happens and has realised that she is making it happen.
Also it has a vibration feature on it, which when she is irritable, we just pop her in her chair, switch it on and it soothes her to sleep.
We couldn't have managed without this chair as Milly had a lot of trouble sleeping when she was born and so after checking with my Health Visitor she ended up sleeping in it most nights.
The chair also has toys which hang down and a mirror with two detachable teething rings.

Definitely a recommend buy.

HI,
With my first i borrowed a chair, its one that lies flat and you can rock it with your foot, ideal for sending them to sleep. Abbey would even sleep in it at night sometimes and its ideal if they get a cold as they need to be slightly elevated, you cant really do that with a moses basket as the matress is so thin. This chair can be put in any reclining position and has a saftey catch to stop it falling forward for when they are more active. I then got given a normal winnie the pooh bouncing chair when abbey was 3 months, which i would put toys around them on cushions, it encouraged them to reach for it and they didnt have it hanging in there face 24/7. I do think the rocking aquarium mentioned above is good i used a friends when visiting and my boy went straight to sleep.

7 months on and shes now outgrown her bouncy chair we also got the fisher price kick and play, well worth the money.

Just to add to the Kick and Play chair, it is good, because you can remove the toy bar, so when Milly was sleeping it wasn't on her, we would just put it on gentle vibrate and she would sleep peacefully.
