Hi Girls

I have narrowed my pushchair down to these two! The Techno has a larger hood which comes down quite a bit and is the 2006 new model -the Classic comes with the padding/cosie toes for an extra £20 but the hood is not as big - although they are both relatively the same dimensions/weight etc. not sure whether to go for the bigger hood option. Baby is due at the end of July - and def want a lightweight buggy from birth - also take dog out so needs to be quite sturdy for quick walk over the field - I think the Maclaren is ok for this?? Am open to other suggestions as well!
Thanks ladies

hello there with our little boy we bought a maclaren triupmeth the model down from the techno i believe, i walk a lot but and the maclarens are ok off road, but a large wheeled three wheeler is more suitable, they do lightweight 3 wheelers designed for jogging and these may be worth a look at, the maclaren will be fine in summer but when the fields get wet you may find yourself getting bogged in.
also you need to watch for stones lodging between the twin wheels.

Hi Luke

Have test drove most of the 3 wheelers - but they seem so wide compared to the Maclaren - will prob get hubby to take her more in the winter months - sometimes we pavement walk her if the weather gets too muddy! As for jogging - I sometimes make a quick dash to the shops - but its' not quite a jog LOL! The Mamas & Papas lightweight buggy's also look quite appealing but again not sure on those - I know the Maclaren is a good solid pushchair from my previous two children. Thanks for your reply!

Hi Denise
This week I check out new models from Maclaren, Graco and the like so I will have a good think and let you know on Monday.
The Maclaren is a classic compact buggy and I think paying a little extra for the comfy padding is worth it personally, because your baby will be falling asleep in it, watching the world from it and generally making it his/her second home for the first year! But there are quite a few brands now in that lightweight market. I'll get some serious product details sorted for you.

Hi Laura

Thanks a million your'e a star - I think I'm all research out now!!! The mamas & papas one also looks quite good in their borchure - have not tried that one yet though!
