Hi,

Am due in December with my 1st and have been given an older style Graco buggy but no instructions!!! I want to know if it reclines flat but cannot for the life of me figure it out. The buggy is one that the handle can flip over the top so you can have baby either facing you or facing away.

It has Graco on the side of the frame and 'Out & About (Mothercare) Earth Care' on the front fabric bit. Have looked on Graco website but as it is an old model they have no instructions.

If anyone can help i would be really grateful as otherwise it will have to go in attic until baby can sit up!

Hi Nicola,
I have searched the web far and wide with no luck! Maybe if you wheeled the buggy to mothercare they MAY know how to do it? If they don't toys r us sell graco buggy's and they may be able to help. This is the only solution I can think of! (I must admit I have and Graco Travel system and the instuctions are a right pain in the butt to attempt to work out!) My buggy has two weird clasps at the back where you pinch them in then I use my head to knock the seat back!!!
Good luck in your quest!
Claire

I would totally advice against buying a BRAND NEW travel system. I used mine for all of 3 months then brought a stroller that I was pleased with. The travel system was great when she was tiny and excellent car seat but after a while I needed something light and managable. In hindsight I would have purchase a second-hand travel system (come complete with foot muff, car seat and the pushchair) for about £30-40 some people sell them at and then at 5 months I would have purchased a stroller. Easy to fold away and light and then now I have got a car seat from birth-4yrs which I got from argos for £44.99. I really regret spending around £300 on a new travel system which I only used 4 a handlefull of months. But I LOVE my maclaren stroller which I bought in pink to match my baby, lol! xxx

I totally agree with you Claire, I had a travel system for my first which admittedly I used a LOT!! (I didnt really know that strollers came in all sorts of different styles then) and when second one came along I used it for him too, but found it really hard to put the whole thing in the car! I then looked in Mothercare for a stroller and was stunned to find all the differnt types available! I bought a stroller that reclines (from 3mths) with hood, viewing panel, pocket and shopping basket.....all on one little stroller!! My sister in law is about to purchase her first pram and I am trying to convince her not to spend a small fortune on a 3 in 1 pram, carrycot & car seat that will only be used for about 5 months! you can get some great stroller travel systems from argos/mothercare that are umbrella fold, this means once baby is out of the birth car seat, the stroller is still useful. I have spoken to so many mums who regret spending lot of money on a big bulky travel system that takes up a load of space in the house and fills the boot! Admittedly they can look nice, but if you value practicality and value for money, go with something that will last and not get in the way.

well admittedly i have bought a new travel system this time round - i use the excuse it's my first girl, however i did find that whilst looking aroung alot of the travel systems available are quite bulky and look like a small tank! I do agree that you should not spend alot of money on a 3 in1 systems as your baby will grow out of the carry cot and car seat by the time they are 5-6 months, but i bought the silver cross 3d pram which should do my new baby for a good 2 years or so. I just remember last time with my boys i went through that many pushchairs/buggies that what i paid for the lot of them i could have just got a really good pram instead.

Hi Nicola,

I have just read your message and was wondering if you had managed to sort out reclining your buggy yet? If Luke's link didn't bear any fruit then please let me know as i have emailed my contact at Graco on your behalf in an effort to find out where old instructions can be obtained!

Hope all is well!
