HI Abigail,
When i was pregnant with my first i was looking at an all singing and all dancing steam steriliser. My mum turned round and offered to buy the steriliser so i went with what she got me. Well it was a microwave one and its excellent by tomme tippee, get rid of the rubbish bottles and use avent. you wash up and rinse your bottles add an inch of water in the well shove it in the microwave for 5 mins (careful they are hot when just done) take it out or leave in the microwave until needed. a steam steriliser is always on show cause they are to big to pack away. you dont need sterilising tablets or fluid and it works in exactly the same way and costs half the price, i am going to be using mine for baby number 3. dont forget when you go away do you want to lug around a heavy steriliser, you have to remember all these things need to go with you for the first 6 months.

I have the Avent IQ and so far have had to have two as it kept breaking and stopped sterilising for the full 8minutes. But before all that I thought it was amazing. You plug it in, add a bit of water and press a button and its done. I have put other bottles in there too. So it doesn't just have to have Avent ones. But its better if the bottles you use are wide neck as you can fit more in xxx

Hi, not sure if you're still looking to buy... First I had an avent, which was fine, but smelt of 'irons' when it was steaming. Husband complained alot and I've now changed to the (untrendy but brilliant) Lindam, which fits 8 standard sized bottles - helps me keep on to of the bottles by doing two extra each time.... hope that helps.. steph
