Hi Stacey
I am 20 weeks pregnant and I had to go up to the hospital about 2 weeks ago because I had bad abdominal pains. They took a sample from me and came back that there was trace blood and protein in my urine. I too am now in the same boat as you and was told it was there and that was that, no explanation just sent on my way. It doesnt give much reassurance really does it especially when one of these women are going to be with you while you are giving birth.

hi all,

if you feel that your not getting the support of your midwife then i would definitely suggest that you go and get a second opinion. my doctor was very supportive and told me to contact them if i ever needed help. Your doctor will understand that you are concerned about this issue. the most important thing is that you feel you are receiving all the help and support that you need at this time.

hi stacey,

good to hear that you'll see doctor soon, my local clinic has an early pregnancy assessment unit, known as (epau) and it supports those who have concerns in the early stages of pregnancy. they can do scans and it might be worthwhile checking out if there is one near you, good luck for tues!:)
