I've just found out i'm pregnant. I dont know what to do I have been pregnant before but I had an abortion as I was too young and no way near ready to have a baby. Now i'm 25 and with a man that i'm going to marry and I feel that its right but I still live with parents and I cant really afford to move out and I dont know what support is out there and whether I can afford to bring up a baby. I know I want this baby but I dont know what to do??? I dont know anyone who has had a baby and I dont want to talk to my parents about it yet. Please help me!!!!!!!
Hi Mimmie, Firstly congratulations. How many weeks are you?
Hmmm I'm not too sure what the right thing to do is, but personally I would book myself in with GP and get pregnancy confirmed so that you can be referred to midwife. Secondly it may be worth visiting Citizens Advice as i'm pretty sure they will be able to give you an idea what you would be entitled to benefits wise.
How long have you been with your partner, have you told him yet? How does he feel about it and is he able to help support you and baby?
I hope that you can confide in your parents soon as early pregnancy can be tough on a woman and i think it's important that you have people you can speak to, of course you can always come on here, the ladies on this site are great and very supportive.
Hope i've helped a little and you can start figuring out what your next step is. I wish you the very best of luck. Keep us informed.
