Leaking eye...?

My son (5 weeks) has quite a leaky eye and gets quite a lot of yellow on the corner, I do the usual suggestion of massaging on the side of his eye (nose side) wiping with cooled boiled water with cotton wool.. using once and discarding, using a fresh cotton wool with every wipe, but does not seem to work.

Any other suggestions?  As its not too infected for drops.

My baby also had this for a while and it cleared up by itself when she was about 8 weeks old. If youre worried talk to the HV again, but sounds like youre doing all the right things already.

Are you breastfeeding?

Why I ask is because my son had this as a newborn and I used some breast milk to clean it with (advice from HV) and it worked! Cleared up!
