Anyone from cambridge or know about The Roise Maternity Hospital?

Hey all,

I'm looking for anyone that knows anything about The Rosie Maternity Hospital in cambridge because this saturday i am going to stay with my partner in cambridge because thats were he currently stays and i have had loads of problems in pregnancy and see the chances of me having problems when there and ending up being treated there or even having the baby there my midwife has said they hoping i at least go to 30weeks so been trying to find out about the hospitals special care unit but can't find much about it online.... i had my 2nd miscarriage there so i know the care is top knotch but not sure about treatment or care in pregnancy, birth or early babies anyone that knows anything i would be mega greatful to hear from you

hi lynne my friend had both her daughters at the rosie they were both premature at 34 weeks the oldest is now 5 years and the youngest just 4 months and they were both fine and well looked after there but the youngest did get mrsa but was treated and got over it within a few weeks i do think this is a problem in a lot of hospitals though not just the rosie just make sure people clean there hands before handling baby ect.all the best lisa

Thanks for replying lisa , its good to know they were both taken good care of... thats a shame about the youngest getting MRSA but i have heard it is very common but pretty deadly.... so will keep my eyes open for anything like that, with the reputation The Rosie has i never thought i would hear anyone from there getting MRSA thanks for the warning though and the information its good your friends babies are well
