Birth Plans !!

Hey All,

Well i am 34 weeks pregnant and i am starting to think about writing my birth plan.

I am looking for some advice from women either coming up to there due date or that have given birth on what i am meant to write and if it is actually worth writing one.

I really do not know where to start or even what i am meant to write so any help or advice would be very welcome.

My daughter is 6 months old, my birth plan included things like;

what sort of pain relief I was open to using

What positions I would like to try, birth pool etc

My views on epidural, forceps etc

Whether I wanted vitamin k injection for baby/ injection to speed up delivery of placenta

My health board gave us a questionnaire in ante-natal classes to fill in. For the most part I just let things happen as and when but if there is anything  you feel strongly about (I didn't want forceps) put it in and make sure your birth partner knows your views as you might be too out of it at the time!

Thanx laura, i just wasnt sure what i was meant to put in it.

To be fair i have nothing that i am dead against esp if it means me and the baby are safe. I am terrified of needles but im sure they aint too bothered about that. As for drugs, if i feel i need them then i will have them. I just feel like i will go with whatever i need at the time so i wasnt sure about writing a birth plan.

It will def give me something to think about so again thank you xx
