Cramp and Heartburn - Pregnancy

Hi all, im 24 weeks pregnant and dont know the sex of my baby. However i keep getting terrible cramp in my calf muscles and feet, and even a bit of heartburn (which i have never had before). My inlaws are adament that i am having a boy as these are sure symptons of a boy apparently.

So, im just wondering if there is any truth in these old wives tales?

Who out there suffered with these symptons and had a boy?

And are there are any mums out there who had a girl who did or didnt have cramp and hearthburn?

Hi Luce!!

I get exactly the same as you..but mega bad heart burn. My OH sister had all the same symptoms as I am having and had a baby boy!! So every1 is adiment we are having a boy as I am carrying the same as her as well!

Also my OH's mum did the ring over my belly...get a special ring (i used my engagement ring) and 1 strand of your hair...hang it over your bump and see how it swings...if it swings side to side..its means BOY and round in circles its a girl!! Dont know how right it is tho!! Will let you know lol

Thanks Emma, when are you due? Will be interesting to see if you do have a boy, maybe then i will start to believe this old wives tale!

I tried the ring test but the ring didnt move at all. Mind you, thats was a while ago!

I'm due a boy and I'm suffering with heartburn a lot, but I don't get cramp. (You watch I will tonight now I've said that).

Hi Luce, was gonna post in november but i'll post in here instead...

I get cramp in my thighs and shins and the worst is around my knees and the back of legs..(during rompypompy lol) it hurts but i think its my bodies wa of telling me not to lay like that LOL

havent had it in my feet though, sometimes a little in my toes but thats not really painful!
and ya know i'm having a boy lol

I on't think i'v had heartburn as every girl described it it hurts but i'v had no problems

Luce- HI..I am due 7th of october....i have a funny feeling its a boy...will find out in 12wks tho!! xx
