Hey Samantha as you can see I'm due in Nov have my first scan tomoz  GP said 12th but sure babymalt will be 2 weeks late like Mum lol but thought I'd pop in to say CONGRATULATIONS I'm sure you'll have plenty of December mums on here soon theres plenty TTC.

Congratulations. I'm due this sat but just wanted to say hello. Wow a baby just 3 months ago. What did you have? Did labour go ok? Have you been trying to conceive or did it just happen? Hope you don't mind me asking. It's just taken us a long time to have a successful preg and my hubby is older than I am. I want another child after this one and I'm wondering how soon to start trying. I'm worried it might take a long time to conceive again so want to try as soon as poss but then worry about getting preg straight away!!

 can I join..   I have this week done 4 pregnancy tests and all positive and yet no period....so looks good hopefully.  Rang dr this am as this is my first baby and I am so excited but very scared to but they said go in and see my dr in a few weesk for blood pressure but generally I understand that they don't confirm your pregnancy as home tests are accurate?? Is this right..   I think they will if they want to.

 She also said that midwife etc doesn't start til 8-13 weeks so looks like I am on my own for a bit til then and not telling anyone just yet but prob parents very soon so thought join here and meet ladies in same situation.

 According to the calendar I would be due mid Dec 08..... a xmas baby.

 feeling ok, my tummie is feeling bloated but no more than normal at this time....  bit upset tummie and feel a little icky but nothing major probably nerves hehe.  more than anything noticing I am starving constantly. Did first test about 10po so was lucky as been eating extra healthy ....

 I am overweight nothing major but enough, and over 35 so hope all will be ok.

is this your first Claire ? its pretty scary and daunting when you don't know what to expect ! Can't help but be excited. DH went to work mind racing for last few days hehe

This is my second Jo, I have a 5 year old boy too, it is scary but its nice to have so many people to talk to on hear, I jump all over different threads to talk to different people! I found out 3 weeks ago and my mind is still racing about it, especially at work!

I am in a really stressful job and typically next week away in Stratford for two nights for a meeting and dinner overnight so racking brain to think of excuse for not having wine.....   will need to think of that alot over next 8 weeks..... we socialise quite a bit and people will guess as soon as I start on the water

 Congrats to you too number two thats nice.  My best friend is having twins next week via IVF so good timing for me too.

 Do you tell people before 12 wks ?? seems to differ, we are thinking parents probably as nice to chat to them and then everone else after maybe best friends at 9/10 weeks.

 we are going to america & bahamas can you believe it May 4th for 10 days...... I am hoping I will be ok to fly will be about 9 weeks. everything has happened at once

I have told everyone!! lol I think its better to have the support from day one, I know we are told to wait until that 'safe' 12 week mark but what happens if we do miscarry and noone knew we were pregnant? we need support at a time like that, its up to you but I preferred people to know

You should tell work asap incase there are any safety issues, but again, that would be up to you, I told my boss when I found out at 3 weeks but I have a high risk pregnancy so she had to know

i am 41 well 42 very soon i can't see that age is a problem as long as we look after ourselves and keep healthy.

I am 37 nearly 38 first baby so very knew to this and every cramp I am noticing ..... and only just found out !  

 I am being very healthy I will probably end up loosing weight maybe even from just stopping drinking for 9 months.

 Claire - I know what you mean I want tell the world, I think we will tell family & close friends asap then spead word after 12 week.  I am in HR so I do kind of know the risks but I know I will need a risk assessement ..... not sure what to do I am in small company and managing HR so when I go on mat leave hopefully - they will panic !
