Nikki, that's great news I bet you are so pleased. I'm going for mine on wed, by my dates I should be 12wks 5days but I think I ovulate at the end of the cycle not day 14 so maybe a little behind than what I think. I don't really mind as long as the is a baby in there!!!! I'm getting really worried at the moment as not feeling that sick anymore and I don't feel pregnant at all, sure I'm worrying about nothing but having a missed miscarriage before I keep having a nightmare the sonographer is gng to say there is nothing there ;0( Sarah- Do you kep the same midwife throughout as now I've had my booking in appointment I've been transferred to a team of midwives so will never see that one again. Hope everyone is ok, anyone else had their scans yet? Speak soon George xx

George I feel the same and I've seen the baby wriggling in there. LOL. I'm sure everything will be ok. I'm still gagging at certain strong smells but don't feel sick that much anymore and feel more fat and bloated than pregnant. I've got the same midwife all the way thru now, Had her with my last pregnancy too. x

Well I've been for my scan and all is well, which is a huge relief as I didn't feel pregnant and having fainted the other day was really worried. I've been given a due date of 3rd jan. baby was all curled up so they had me doing star jumps and wriggling around, very funny. My dippy midwife at booking in appointment put wrong d.o.b on my bloods so had to have them taken again. I do have her all the way through, see her again in two weeks so see how that goes. I would like a home birth so would that mean she would deliver baby? If so I can see her getting the wrong end. X

Glad everything is ok Sarah. Yeah I think if you have a home birth you'll more than likely end up with her there or if she's off it could be another member of her team. That's bad that you've had to have your bloods done again.

Feeling really ill again, picked up a cough while we were on holiday and all the yuk down my throat and the coughing coz my thoat is also dry somehow is making me be sick at least once a day. Not a happy bunny. Plus my boobs have gone really tender again and they hurt. Got my appt for my next scan thru already, 29th Aug, fingers crossed I can find out pink or blue so I can decide what to wash and buy and get rid of! x

HI everyone, Not been on for a while as I've STILL been feeling really crappy. Now I've picked up a cold to go with the sickness my head feels like its gonna explode!! I've got a feeling that I'm gonna turn into a real whinger during this pregnancy...... Sorry girls ;0) On the up side we have had our scan and there is a baby wiggling around in there although like you Nikki not as far along as I thought, but then they said that about my first and she came 3 weeks early so who knows ? My EDD IS 17/01/13 now so hopefully should get Christmas and New Year out of the way first. We are moving house in the next 3 weeks so loads to do and I just can't be bothered, better get my lazy bum into gear. Have a good weekend everyone and speak soon xxxxx

Hiya!
Hope you're feeling a bit better now George.

Will be 15 weeks 2moro! Where has the time gone, can't wait for 20 week scan and to start feeling proper kicks.
Have to say it's sodding hayfever driving me mad now, sneezing constantly and still all bunged up.

Hope everyone is well,
Nikki x

wow look at all these mummys to be due in January! I found out at my 12 week scan that my due date is January 9th. As I was still in shock from seeing my little bubba very active inside my tummy, I didnt actually click on until I got outside that the baby is expected on my birthday!! good luck to everyone, hope it all goes well and your pregnancies aren't bad either. X

Congratulations Gemma! At least you won't forget when you're due! LOL. x

04/08/2012 at 18:38
Congrats Gemma, hope everyone is feeling better now. I can finally say that at 16 wks my sickness has gone and I'm starting to feel a bit normal!!! We had a scan on Thursday and am very pleased to let you all know that we are having a BOY!! My daughter is very happy as she wanted a little baby brother. I'm at my mums for the weekend getting pampered before I go home and start packing the house ready for our move on the 9th, I can safely say that I'm really not looking forward to it as we have moved 3times in the past 2 half years. But this will be the last one for a long time as hubby has finished in the army for good. Speak later George xxx

Amazing, hubby just felt our little boy kick, you can't see them yet but defo just felt it. I am 16 + 2 , think he'll get siged for Englad when he's born!! Xx
06/08/2012 at 16:42

Awww, I think I feel kicks but really couldn't definitely say it's not just wind so I don't know, waiting for a big one that I know has to be baby! LOL.
Congrats on having a boy, I'm hoping on a girl this time but so long as baby is healthy it doesn't matter so much. Don't envy you moving again especially not while pregnant, it's not fun at all. Although moving while pregnant is better than moving with a newborn that wants feeding every 5 mins.

I'm still feeling sick occasionally, mostly when I've not slept very well. Starting to think that I'm going to have it all the way through.

Starting to think about giving birth too...especially about the time of year! Just hoping there's no snow or ice on the ground when I go into labour because there's a big hill to go get up to my house and my drive is on a slope too so I wouldn't be able to get out and midwife wouldn't be able to get up! Everyone was abandoning their cars at the bottom of the hill last year. Midwife is planning a home birth for me because my previous labours were 4hrs and 2 hrs from first contraction to baby being born and she's expecting this one to be quick too so at least I should have everything I need here.
Sorry for stressing anyway, just needed to get it out.

Hope everyone else is well!

You are so lucky, I was 14 hrs from established labour but 23 from the first contraction and I thought that was good for my first baby! Don't the labours get shorter the more you have, careful not to sneeze after your first contraction !! I have been thinking about labour too, that I'm actually shitting myself this time as I know what to expect ( sorry about the language) . Didn't have any pain relief last time but think I may have the full works this time round. Thought the sickness had gone but no it's back with a vengeance , I'm off to bed now as feel I ave a migraine coming on and feel crap. I hope it goes soon as got loads of packing to do tomorrow. Hope your sickness goes Nikki , it's no fun at all ;0( Where has everyone else gone? Xxxxx
07/08/2012 at 15:44

I think I am lucky! LOL. I don't get the build up like most women do though. With my first I woke up about a minute before my waters popped and within 15 mins I was having contractions 3 mins apart and by the time I got down the stairs from the flat I lived in they were every 45 seconds for 45 seconds and I had that for 3hrs solid, think the midwives thought I was being a drama queen because it hurt so much and they said I was only 2cm, but went to 10 within an hour. With my second I woke up and thought I just had cramps because I needed the loo, went twice about 10 mins apart with cramps and then had 2 contractions 5 mins apart and then went straight down to 2 mins apart. Was in hospital 40 mins before he made an appearance. I had gas and air both times but I don't think it really helps because you still feel everything just feel a bit removed as well so going to see if I can go without this time.
Hopefully this one will make a reasonably quick appearance but not so quick that I'm not sure what's going on, an hour would be good. LOL.

Maybe it's the weather making us feel worse, I've had a headache the last few days too and been feeling sick a lot more...might be connected. Hope you feel better today.
I don't know about you but I'm not really getting the email notifications so maybe people have just forgotten they've posted here? x

How is everyone? It's awfully quiet on here! x

10/09/2012 at 12:52
Hi Nikki, How are you doing ?? Things have been hectic here with the move and trying to get my house back to some sort of normality after renting it out for the past 3 years !! All nearly sorted and Harriet has started school full time now! I was so scared for her as she is one of the youngest they all looked so big compared to her, but she has been fine- doesn't need me anymore ;0( I've changed hospitals do had to have all my bloods etc done again , went for mg 20 week scan today although I'm 21 +4. He would not keep still bless him got a great picture of him kicking me. It is very quiet on here, hope everyone else is doing ok? Take Care xx
11/09/2012 at 19:15

Hiya,
Awww it's horrible isn't it. Kam's one of the youngest too so I know how you feel, he loves school once he gets there tho. Just hates getting out of bed every morning. We're progressively getting later every day despite getting up half hour earlier today!!!
Glad you're nearly sorted, but that's a pain having all your bloods done again!
I went for my 20 week scan 2 weeks yesterday, baby is healthy, but due to my bmi (a nice way of saying fat) they couldn't get all the measurements they wanted. Also wouldn't let on what colour I'm cooking but I've got another scan 2moro morning so will ask again and see if they'll tell me otherwise I'll be off for a private scan! Need time to prepare and don't like having loads of white coz with a baby it won't stay white for long and yellow and green just don't look good against my kids skin tone. Plus I don't wanna get out all the boys stuff if we're having a girl! I just wanna know! LOL. So desperate to buy baby stuff but don't like unisex stuff. I have a suspicion that we're having a girl because the lady was scanning around there quite a lot and I didn't see a willy but I'm not a professional and so not willing to spend money only to find out I'm wrong. Might just be wishful thinking tho. LOL.
Speak soon, x

I think deep down a mum knows, with my first everyone thought I was having a boy but I was adamant it was a girl and she was! Good job really as I didn't have any boys names and she was 3 weeks early. Had to find out this time as needed to be organised and thought it would be easier for Harriet to accept the new addition if we could talk about what it was. At our 20 wk scan they don't tell you (hospital policy apparently because it has a big Asian community) but to be honest you didn't need to be an expert to see his bits waving around!!!! The sonographer said that if it's a girl you can see 3 small white dots sort of in a wonky triangle if that's any help! I don't like any of the unisex clothes either , bought my first blue things the other week and as Harriet was 6lb 12 worked on the basis that this one would be slightly bigger, but at the scan they said that it was on the large side , on the top centile line- fantastic I thought defiantly having an epidural!! Lol! Mind you if Harriet had gone to term she probably would have been a good 9 pounder! So I'll pray that he comes early ;0) Harri has decided that she no longer wants to get out of bed and wants 10 more minutes, didn't think that came til they were teenagers , lol. Hope you find out what colour you are having, speak later xx
13/09/2012 at 18:39

Heya! Turns out we're having another boy! LOL. On the plus side it means I haven't got much to buy although I couldn't resit getting a pack of baby gros and a new blanket (even tho we've got hundreds) when we popped to Tesco earlier. The guy doing the scan said our hospital doesn't really have a policy to tell you or not, it depends on how much time they get and whether they're confident predicting the sex. He pointed out the sack and willy tho so this ones definitely a boy. I was wondering if the woman last time didn't tell me because I had both my other kids with me and my OH is Pakistani because when I asked the sex she just said it wasn't part of the scan.
They keep telling me I'm gonna have big babies but I've had a 7lb 8.5oz, and 8lb 10.5. Midwife said oooh they're getting bigger and then I pointed out that one was 8 days early and the other 9 days late so realistically they're both the same size really if you take into account their gestation.
Kam is the same every morning, only way to get him up is to pop Disney Junior on and turn it up before I go wake him, but then we have to sit and watch Jake and the neverland pirates for 20 mins but it still means he's out of bed faster. Actually managed to get to school on time today!
How come Harriet was early? Did you just go into labour?
Speak soon x

Hi, sorry I've not been on for ages. Time has just seemed to run away with me!! Congrats on another boy! I couldn't resist the other day and bought some baby grows blankets and a few outfits but had to drop myself buying more just in case he is big. They were from Matalan so didn't break the bank if they don't fit!! H just decided to come, spontaneous labour so I'm hoping this little one is early aswell!! Off to put H to bed now then think I may join her I'm pooped xxx
04/10/2012 at 18:46

LOL Don't worry. I was expecting my second early but ended up overdue.
Little baby clothes are so irresistable. Was in Debenhams earlier and the had some really cute stuff. Had to keep reminding myself that we've got too much already.
I've passed out on the sofa already this evening, can't wait to get to bed. x
