hi all.., l'm new. l too have just discovered l'm pregnant due roughly 16th july. l'm a little anxious as my last pregnancy was very complicated. l lost one of my twins at 28wks and my other daughter was born 10weeks early as a result. born 10th feb 06. I'm looking forward to making great friends on this site.

Hi Michelle and Petra,

Yes, i have been having mild cramps, but I believe this is normal, as long as it doesn't get too severe. Michelle sorry to hear about the loss of 1 of your twins. I am still testing at the mo, I'm paranoid that something is going to go wrong, once I get to 12 weeks I shall probably relax a little. I have been feeling quite sick which is very unusual for me, my last 3 pregnancys have been wonderful and had no sickness etc at all so this is a shock to the system!!!!! Hope you are both keeping well and here's to a happy & healthy 9 months xxxx

hi Trishtbj

yes the mild cramps are normal. l too am more than a little paranoid.. we haven't told anyone and l reckon we will probably wait more than the 12weeks before we can say anything. the nausea and headaches were the first sign for me. it was the same the last time and l'm hoping it won't continue well into the pregnancy this time!!
congratulatons again!!!

Due with second child end of July, reaaly excited, feel more content about pregnancy second time in comparison to first time, had wierd gut feeling nearly 2 weeks before did test which found really strange. Cant wait to see midwife week before Xmas should make it seem more real then, especially after disapointed dr consultaion as no real exciting response when informed that was PG, seem to have forgotten what this stage was like 1st time around. Congrats to all in same situation . Tracy

HI all mummys to be!

I am due about the 15th July. But ive got my dating scan on the 29th so it may be adjusted a few days either side then! can't wait. Having bad morning sickness and soooo tired! This will be my second baby, my son is 8 in February. I had ectopic pregnancy 4 years ago, and have been trying for a baby for the last 3 years. I started university as a student nurse beginning on October, and it happens! People said it would when my mind switches off to it, but I didnt believe them! Im over the moon. Cant wait to see this baby in the right place on that scan next week. Good luck to us all! xxxx

Hi all,

I am glad there are a few more of us on here now, I am 5 weeks 2 days today, haven't seen my midwife for an appointment yet, but I have got the same midwife I had with my last DS, and she is lovely, but I did see her at antenatal clinic with my sister in law yesterday and she said she had got my details and will ring me soon and arrange my nuchal translucency scan, which will prob be early jan, don't know if I can wait it seems ages away and I just want to be reassured that baby is ok and there is only 1!!!!! This 12 week wait is the longest ever,,, but I'm sure we will all be fine. I am tired and have been feeling sick but haven't actually been sick YET!!!!! I am quite excited at the mo, my sister in law is 37 + 5 and she had midwife yesterday who gave her a sweep as she has had a few contractions, and she is already 2-3 cm dilated, so I am just waiting to go to hospital with her and see my little niece for the first time, I shall keep you all informed. Hope you are all keeping well and heres to a happy healthy 8 months.

Take care

Love Trish xxxx

Well she still hasn't had her baby yet but midwife has just been and she is now 3-4 cms dilated and said she expects her to be in hospital tonight so I shall keep you updated. How are you all feeling? I am feeling really tired and ratty today i think it's due to lack of sleep DD had me up through the night AGAIN!!!! My BB's only seem to hurt later in the day too which is unusual??? I still haven't heard from my midwife yet, I just want the date for my scan so I have something to look forward to.

Hope you are all well

The hospital im going to, St Marys in Portmouth, will only do dating scan at 8 weeks. They dont do early pregnancy scans aless there are concerns. You go to Gynae ward if you need earlier one. Sounds silly but waiting to get to 8 weeks seems to feel like forever. 6 sleeps and I will see baby on scan Fingers crossed in the womb and not in my tube this time. School have ok'd me to take my son out of school a bit earlier so he can be there, hes so excited, but things its not fair that the baby cant come out now! bless him. Hope all of you feeling cramps are feeling better now. My mornign sickness went at 4 months with my son so im keeping my figers crossed it goes then.

Keep in touch

Hi,

Kim - am from Portsmouth too , Havant, but I am going to St.Richards in Chichester, I had my DD at St Marys and hated every minute of it, then had DS at St Richards and the experience was fantastic so I have decided to return to them this time. We get a scan at 12 weeks which is the nuchal translucency scan and then the Anomoly scan at 20 weeks where we are going to find out what we are having. Is anyone else finding out the sex of their baby?

SIL still hasn't had her baby, midwife is coming out again this morning as she is worried that although she is now nearly 5cm dilated she hasn't had any regular contractions, so we might be going this pm to get her waters broken, just a waiting game now!!!!

I am taking my oldest DS who is 9 in december to the scans to as he has asked to come and I think it's nice he wants to be involved bless him. I am starting to get a few headaches now and (.)(.)'s are really starting to ache, at least it's a sign that am still pg, it's still so hard to believe when we haven't seen it on a scan yet, after that it will seem alot more real.

Anyway hope you are all well

Love Trish xx

Wow, im in Havant too! I will go St. Richards too, I know what you mean, I didnt enjoy it at st Marys with my son. My son is just coming up for 8, its amazing how excited they are still at that age! hes been waiting for this for ages so i know he cant wait.

My husband want to know the sex, and will be nice to know for colours and decorating the nursery etc. But ill wait and see. They dont tell you at St Marys so another good reason to go there!

Cant believe you live in Havant Trish! I am just off New Lane. Son goes to school in Emsworth as I used to live there. Very sick today, has anyone tried taking vit B6? has it worked for anyone, I may give it a go.

Hi Kim, I pop over from Due March 2007 to keep an eye on Trish and get updates as we are friends! I would also recommend St Richards as i have had 2 at st Mary's and hated it both times! St Richards have been fantastic and because of complications in my first pregnancy they have given me an amazing amout of support and extra scans to put my mind at rest!
I also live in the Havant area, West Leigh!
Well i hope when you've had baby you will join me and Trish at our toddler groip?
I also go to a bumps and babies group, which Trish will hopefullt be coming too as well next week if you are free on Tuesday mornings?
Trish, hope Tari is ok? Get lots of tips for me!
