FETAL DOPPLER? - Pregnancy

Im seriously considering buying a fetal doppler as im such a worry wart.I had one of the cheaper ones that just come with headphones for about £25-£30 and didnt rate it really so im thinking of buying a proper one, they are about £80-£100 on ebay and work from 10-12 weeks using ultrasound instaed of just being a microphone.Anyway, im wondering if anyone has one or has used one, which one was it and what did you think about it? Emma I rented one from Hi Baby on a month to month basis, glad I did cause you tend to stop using it at a certain point but then again you could always sell it on again x

Which one was it nicola and how soon did it work, as in how many weeks were you?

As far as i can remember i think i was about 7 wks, you couldnt hear it v well but you could see the doppler display the heartbeat, i think i was about 10 wks when i heard it properly. It was the same one that your midwife would use, comes with the gel. Think the website is www.hi-baby.co.uk

Emma,

I got one a couple of weeks ago the Hi Baby that shows the heart rate numbers. Im using it every day so far, and most times find it easy to use.

im 17 weeks now, i think i was about 14 weeks when i got it but it says can be used from 10-12 weeks

hi i bought one a few years ago from a site i cant remember sorry, but it was off the internet, it doesnt display the heartbeats but you can hear very clear results from about 10 weeks. xx
