induction or diabetes

hi im 32 + 4.

i have diabetes and have been told that i'll be induced early.

ive heard some real horror stories about induction, and have searched online and there seems to be very little info availble for women in my situation.

was hoping to maybe hear from women who have diabetes or were induced early.

I went to mother and baby group on Thurs and funnily enough there was a lady there who had to be induced early due to diabeties (I have never heard of this).
I don't know how helpful I will be but she didn't mention any horrific stories. Hopefully she will be there next week and I will try and ask her about it (without being stalkerish!) Hope you get some info before then thou.

I'm now 36 weeks & I was diagnosed with diabetes at 32 weeks, then had to go on insulin aswell 3 times a day.

I have been told lots of different things by lots of different people, a couple of them told me I would have to be started off early but then the consultant told me there is no reason I can't go full term so I really don't know what to think, I'm sure Conor will let me know when he is coming, lol =]

I must admit I have heard being started of is not nice as they have to kind of pull the plug and break the waters but then if you look on the bright side, at least you'll know exactly when and where you'll be when labour starts & in my case I'll be able to arrange for my older son, Leon to stay at nanny & grandad's =]

Awww good luck Rachael, is this your first baby? I am scared even though its my 2nd but I think that its only natural, let me know how you get on.
