period cramps.

I am 20, and just found out yesterday I am pregnant with my first child, i took 4 tests and couldn believe all 4 were positive! However, I have been really worried, because I have been getting period pains for the past week or so, I went down to TEEMS and they advised me that so long as there is no bleeding evrything is fine. Feeling daft though, I still asked my husband to take me to A & E as i was still concerned, they said its too early to say whether or not its ok or not, but i am really concerned i may be having early signs of miscarriage, i feel daft as i only found out yesterday and i am worrying already, has anyone suffered with these cramps for this long and was they ok?

I'm 25 & 40+4weeks pregnant with my first child!! Please try not to worry - I had about 2 weeks of period type cramps really early on, not long after I found out I was pregnant and being my first too I really panicked and hated it, convinced it meant something was wrong... I longed for my first scan to know all was okay... I was too told that as long as no bleeding and it is not a really sharp stabbing pain in one side then all is normal - it is just your womb and that stretching ... what really helped me accept it was normal was joining my due month thread on TB as other ladies at my stage of pregnancy were also experiencing the same and with us all in the same boat we could reassure each other is was okay... I have learned throughout this pregnancy that just about any feeling, ache, pain or emotion is totally normal!!! Your body and emotions go through great change and it is quite a journey but now I am waiting for baby to finally make an appearance, all be it a late one, I am really excited and look back at all the emotion and worry I have gone through to get here but know it is going to be totally worth it when I meet baby very soon!!!

thanks so much for your help, I have found some info but so much of it is so contradicting! I hope is all ok and you have met your newborn, i am just waiting for my 12 week scan now and it is draggin i am now 7wks 5 days.xx
