Any opinions on Micralite? Have been 'umming' and 'aahing' over the Micralite carry cot from Mothercare for a while now! Really like the practicality and the weight of them and its in our price range..but any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Jenny,
I remember looking at one and thinking that the carry cot looked a bit flimsy and uncomfortable but a friend of mine has one and loves it! Sorry haven't been much help!

Hi Jenny
Have just joined site specificaly to discuss the Micralite. We bought the fast fold with the car seat attachment after reading so many great reviews (with our 1st child we bought entirely the wrong system) only to be VERY disapointed. The car seat is actually quite difficult to attach, we have already gone through 3 pairs of the arms to attach the car seat to the buggy each time they have snapped!!! I was really hoping that the fastfold would come into it's own when I started using it as a buggy but alas my little boy (9mths) is sooo uncomfortable in it, the shoulder straps are to high and do not adjust therefore they just brush around the sides of his face so I have had to remove these just leaving the lap belts on alone!! The seat has 2 recline positions which are impossable to do with the handle when your child is in the buggy therefore you have to manovere the seat manually. My little boy wants to sit up but the seat position does not allow this he's very frusterated by this!! The one handed folding mechanism is great but you oftern have to adjust the front wheels as they don't always fit snuggly into the folded position. Last but not least the cosy toes is quite difficult to put on it seems the slits for the straps aren't quite big enough and if you want to fold the buggy with the cosy toes on forget it, it won't close at all!!!
After much debate and perseverance I have today bought a new buggy incidently the guy in the shop said they were reducing their stock of FastFolds as they've had so many complaints!! Hope this helps and is not too late. x

Hi Sarah, no, not too late for the input, thanks! I put off making a decision because of Zoe's lukewarm comment and the fact that no-one came back with good feedback.

Thanks so much for the warning, I have a couple of other options and will definitely avoid the micralite.
