MG's mum here - will ask MG to contact her 'super mum' friend for recipes, but try things like pitta bread and humous, carrot sticks or other hand food - raw or lightly steamed veggies are great for nibbling. Try adding tuna fish or chicken to pasta or jacket or mashed potato. Make your own pizza bases with toast and spread with tomato puree and whatever tit bits your daughter likes, sprinkle with chesse and grill. Sweet potato is another good one to use for baking or mashing.
Jake has always been keen on anything we eat, but really enjoys homemade food e.g. burgers, fruit bars made from oats and dried fruit.
Enjoy cooking and as she is 18 months if you can bear it let her help you! Bit messy, but can be great fun :)

My son loves pasta with roasted vegetable sauce - all we do is chop onions, peppers courgettes garlic, carrots, shove it all in a roasting tray and blast it in the oven at 200C for 30 minutes. When it comes out we mix with a couple of tins of organic chopped toms, blitz it in the mixer, and freeze what we don't need immediately.

As for finger food, son always enjoyed a handful of cooked broccoli or mixed veg as a starter to his meals - this meant he could mess around trying to eat the veg whilst we got his main course finsihed and could then feed him in between handfuls of the veggies. I found that frozen organic vegetables were the easiest for this!

Also - don't be afraid of stronger flavours - my son devours garlic bread (not that healthy I know), but also sardines on toast even (mild) curry. Just be adventurous and, if its refused first time round try it again in a week or two.

By the way am I the only dad on the site?
