Hi Sarah
I have IBS and have had for about 13 years.
I found with babies 1 & 3 i got better but with baby number 2 it was so much worse. I took entric coated pepermint and acidophilis from Holland and Barret and it helped me loads. I also drank a cup of boiled (then cooled slightly obviously!) water before and after every meal to help my bowel move the food along and that helped too. Regular massage t othe tum by you or your partner is great and if you can find a relexologist who has experience of IBS in pregnancy that it even better. Try and start this before conception if possible and keep it up throughout the pregnancy. Once a week is recommeneded but unless you can get it in a local college (very cheep) then once a month is still helpful and more when you feel you need it. It can also improve the rest of your health during pregnancy and can prepare your body for birth, making it easier and quicker!
I hope your fine and best of luck xxx
