Hello girls. Those of you on fb will have seen the photos from mini TB meet Danielle, Eri and I had today. Was really lovely to get together. Wish the rest of you lovely girls could have been there too. Who knows, maybe one day we will manage a whole group meet.
Lotto, we've got a Bumbo and tray for Harry. It was Jack's old one. It was and is again a godsend. Both of my boys have been restless and wanted to sit up. Do you have a toy library near you. They often have them that you can hire for a limited period but at least you would know if you want to fork out the money. I hope all your appts go well. As the other girls have said dignity disappears when you become a Mummy. Hopefully the recovery will be easier for you this time.
Laura, are you on facebook? Let me know I'm www.facebook.com/bigw24
Helen, have you thought about putting Elys to bed in her basket downstairs to start with in the evening then at least if Seirian has an unsettled period you could sort of leave her to shout it out a bit and it wouldn't wake Elys. It could be that she is doing it because she likes it that you have to go to her often. Maybe if you were able to leave her a little longer in between visits she might not want to do it so often. Not telling you what to do but just an idea. Hope the tooth that is no more is a little better.
Zo 18 weeks is an achievement for bf. As the slogan says every day you do it will have made a difference. Well done you. Hope you are pain free again soon.
George hope the anger has gone now. Bloody builders!!!!!
Ann marie, was it just a growth spurt? Hope tonight is better.
Claire, thanks for the weaning websites. Keep wondering if it's nearly time for Harry but don't really think so yet. I weaned Jack at 21 weeks but am aiming to wait till 26 weeks and then go down the baby led weaning route this time. Anyone else got opinions on this?
Dan, hope you get home ok and have a safe journey. So enjoyed meeting you at last. It was like I've always known you. You have a lovely little family. Jack loves Louis (his new best friend), Ruby is gorgeous and Jon was brill with the boys. We are planning to come up and see the family in the Wirral at some point in the year so will let you know. Is there anyone else in that area? Maybe another TB meet???
Eri, let me have some dates we can get together again chick.
Harry is a little star, is generally very happy but like to be fed little and often, a bit too often at night but I just bring him into bed with me and do it in my sleep now. Jack is just great, he never stops asking questions and is so full of energy. I just love having 2 boys. They are my life.
Best go, got a glass of wine to drink before the next feed!!!!!
Hi girls, how are we all? Lotto I express milk for a milk bank. Doesn't really take that long. I've got so much of the bloody stuff so thought some other little one could make use of it too.
Hope the move goes well for you Laura. Exciting! Hope it isn't too stressful.
Very excited about Thursday as hoping to meet up with Danielle, Ruby, Louis, Erika and Thomas. Lets just hope the Cornish weather doesn't let us down!
Ann Marie,we've been having a similar thing with Jack getting up early and then being super grumpy throughout the day. It's so trying isn't it. I've resorted to putting a blanket up on his window so it's pitch black in there. I had to laugh this morning when he woke at 5.45 as he said "Mummy I'm awake but it's too dark to play in here. What's going on?"
In typical fashion Harry has just woken so better go and get him. One of these days I'll be back on here properly
How are you all doing? Thanks for your birthday wishes on FB last week. TBH is was a bit of a wash out as was throwing up and feeling dizzy all day. At one point had a massive panic that it might mean another bundle of joy was on the way (eek!!!!) but don't think that now.
Oh, haven't timed this post well at all. Harry has just woken up after only 20mins. Will try to come back on later but the reality is it will prob be another forthnight.
Hi girls, just a quick post from me in reply to the bf routine thingy. I'm jealous of you George and Lotto! I'm still solely bf and Harry is going nowhere near as long in between feeds as the rest of the LOs. I take him upstairs around 6.30 and he has a bath, sometimes with Jack but mostly on his own and then get him changed for bed into his sleeping bag. Jack and Brett say goodnight to him and sing him a song (not very restful as Jack often ends up laughing his head off or shouting bits out!) then it's lights out and a lie down feed, I put him in his cot, usually awake and he drifts off normally by 7. If I'm really lucky he will go till 12 but it's usually 10ish. He will then go another 3 hours, and then it 2 hourly. So a good night would be feed at 7, 12, 3, 5 and 7 but a more normal night would be 7, 10, 1, 3, 5, 7. Jack was pretty similar. He won't cluster feed at all during the day and I cannot tank him up before bed no matter how hard I try, he just won't take it.
So tired today, the sunshine has been lovely but has zonked me completely. I'm promise to try and be more active on here, I do read most of the time but when I go to post something happens and I don't get round to it.
