Hi all,

Not had a chance to catch up on all the posts but hopefully will over the next couple of days.  Congrats to all new mums.

Baby Amber arrived on 18th Sept at 3.10am weighing 7lb2oz.  I was induced and the labour from was 7 1/2 hours - so I feel blessed in that regard, she was a ventouse delivery as she got in distress towards the end, but all is well and she is a healthy little thing.

Hi, another early morning for me, sounds definately like a few mucus plugs going - I think mine went last Saturday but it was just clear and stringy so I cannot be sure.

The sweep was really uncomfortable for me, I found it really difficult to relax, but on the positive side she said that my cervix was thinning, but that it was at the back of the babies head.  Afterwards I had pains all evening but it does not appear to have started anything off.  Booked in to be induced on Monday, which really upset me, I ended up in tears feeling like my body is useless as I really want to have as natural a birth as possible.  OH was great and chocolate went some way to making me feel better.

Surprised that there was not any baby news yesterday - hopefully today.

Rachel, hope your friends baby is doing ok, they are resilient little things and the medical teams are excellent at dealing with these things.

Congratulations Joy and thanks for sharing your experience, I am so glad it was as natural as possible.  My antenatal class all seem to have had lots of intervention with their long labours so your story is really reassuring.

I am due for a MW appt today and thnk I will have a sweep although I am slightly concerned that it will not do anything.  Those of you that have had them - is is painful or just uncomfortable?

Emma, hope things are progressing well with you and you don't get to keep your mw appt today.

Looking forward to hearing from the rest of you.

Wow, what a busy day yesterday, I guess today will be quieter with so many of you progressing - good luck to you all, looking forward to hearing the baby news.

Congrats Leonie on the arrival of Zac - keep us posted on how things are going.

Hi all,

Good news Tanya, have been thinking about you lots and welcome to baby Leo.

Good luck M2B hope today is your day.

Still nothing going on here, no show or anything, not even getting BH at all now.  I would also be interested to know if baby slows down prior to labour as MW has told me to be extra vigilant about movements now that I am overdue, he/she still seems to wriggle the same amount so hopefully no cause for concern.

Fingers crossed for some baby news later today.
