How is everyone?I haven't posted on here for a while, so I thought I'd show my face.
Quick update - Emily's potty training has gone well, she uses toilets anywhere but home where she insists on using the potty. The tantrums have well and truly kicked in, I'd thought we'd got away with that. She cries and screams when it looks like she might not get her own way. Little Madam!
We are hoping to move house in a couple of months. All being well (lots of touching of wood going on here!) Em's bedroom will be loads bigger. She'll be lost!
Thanks for the advice, I think I might just do that. Nursery and my parents have potties there, and spare clothes. As it is, Emily goes everywhere with her bag full of stuff - about 3 changes of clothes including extra knickers, nappies in case it all gets too much, and the usual wipes, nappy bags, cream and other junk that is still in her bag from way back when.
She didn't quite make it to the potty in time on one occasion this afternoon and she broke her heart! Poor little mite! She even asked to get out of the bath last night to pee - how posh is that?!?!
Emily's other news is that she has started talking in nursery. They have never heard her speak until last week, except to argue with me about putting her coat on when I pick her up. The girls are delighted with her and can't wait to hear what she is going to say next. They'll be sorry, she is a cheeky little mare!
Rach, I'm sorry to hear that your lot haven't been well, hopefully it was over and done with quickly.
I'm off to pick John up from cadets. He learned today that he won't be going to Canada for a 6week summer camp, he needs surgery on the shoulder he injured last summer camp. Gutted!
Well, I think we have finally cracked potty training! It has been a week, and Emily is really enjoying it! We have had a couple of accidents - not making it to the potty in time - but apart from that she has been brilliant!
The only problem is, I'm wary about leaving the house now! I've risked short car journeys to nursery and my parents' house, and so far so good. I'm not sure about a trip to Tesco yet. She doesn't like using the big toilet. How did you venture out? What did you do?
Emily isn't at all interested in potty training at home, although she will pee on the potty at nursery. She will willingly sit on the potty at home, but won't do anything. She denies having pooed in her nappy if you ask her too. Any tips girls?
