Hello All, I'm sorry not been on for ages....its not been good here! Odinn arrived safe n sound via the 'sunroof' @ 16.39hrs on Wednesday 27th Sept, weighing 8lbs 8oz. .....Failed induction Transferred to MW unit on the friday...little man spent most of his time 'feeding' n screaming. He was weighed on the sunday and had lost 1lb 4oz and was rushed into hospital basically starving and dehydrated. Spent 3 days being fed via an NG tube. We're home now, he's 9 days old and my milk STILL hasn't arrived!!!! He's going great guns with the Closer to Nature bottles & Aptamil formula.....a completely different baby - so calm unless he wants his food...which was almost hourly last night! He's back up to 8lbs 4oz now Why oh why do some MW insist on pushing the whole breast feeding thing when it is clear that the milk just aint there? Why make a poor little baby suffer like Odinn has? I REALLY wanted to breast feed, but I can't. I still put him to the breast cuz theres a little colostrum still comimg, so he is benefitting from that and getting the comfort from being close to me. Boy, does he have a suction pump for a mouth!!! LOL Anyway, I haven't read all the previous posts...not enough hours in the day! BIG Congrats to everyone who has had their little bundles....is there anyone left? Take care Kat and a very happy, full and satisfied baby Odinn !!!!!! |

Hi All, Just a quick note today as I dont know if I'll get time to pop on tomorrow....so much to do and so little time in which to do it!!!! I'm being induced tomorrow evening AND I have got an estate agent coming round at 12.00noon to look at the house cuz they've had an enquiry about it...all without it being on the market yet!!! So must do a quick tidy up and clean.....its a bit of a tip as have had decorators in, as well as having been packing more stuff up. Funnily enough, I haven't felt the need to 'nest' at all! Gonna re-pack mine & Odinn's bags this evening, as will be transferring to the midwife led mat unit closer to home soon after giving birth, just to chill for a couple of days and get to grips with things!!! So, depending on how and when little O appears, I guess I won't be home much before wednesday/thursday next week! I will txt Kate when I am no longer with 'internal child'!!! Bought a range cooker, splash back & hood today, as well as a roof box and bars for the car. Feel a little blown away by the fact that I'll have Odinn here by the end of the weekend and will be moving house in 4-5 weeks time. Talk about not doing things by halves!!! Bugger, just remembered that I still have to go out and buy some food for OH whilst I'm away!!! ...and write him a list of instructions on which dog gets what food & medication.................aaarrrrggggghhhhhh....need more time!!LOL Well, take care everyone! Heres hoping more little August babies put in their appearances this bank hol weekend! - mine included! Kat and baby Odinn xx |

Hi All, ...CONGRATULATIONS TO SHE, RACHEL & ABBI...
Wishing you and your little ones all the health & happiness in the world! Now really wishing Odinn would pull his finger out and arrive! He keeps going 'North' again...maybe I should have inserted a compass to give him a clue! By my dates, I'm actually due on Monday, but you know wot hospitals are like with their round, twiddly date thingy!!! The sweep I has last monday clearly didn't set things going, although the MW said she could feel his fontanelle, so he was facing upwards...little tike! Oh, and he didn't like being stroked on his head!!!! LOL. I feel soooooooooo heavy now and he's started loads of movement again...feet sticking out in places where I really dont see how they can be there ! I'm due to see/speak to the MW again on Monday, but am defo seeing the consultant on wednesday....if Odinn hasn't arrived - fat chance of that! I'm gonna try the reverse psychology thing tomorrow. I very rarely cook a roast, so tomorrow I'm doing a roast chicken with tatties, honey glazed carrots, roast sweet pots, green beans etc. If THAT doesn't cause him to start his arrival, nowt will!...you know wot men/boys are like - they'll do anything to mess up our plans!!! LOL. heres hoping! Well, at least the Olympics keep me occupied during the early hours !!! Take care, everyone ....and lets hope we all get our bundles of joy VERY soon! Kat and a very comfortably ensconced baby Odinn ! xx PS...maybe I ought to stop eating and drinking the stuff he likes...then he'll have to come out to get it!!!! LOL |

Hello All, Not been on for a while.....computer is on its last legs and has been infiltrated by shed-loads of trojans and viruses..... ...OH has sorted it - for the moment! CONGRATULATIONS TO SOMMER, LIS AND NIKKI
Wishing you and you little ones all the health and happiness in the world! Nothing of note happening in Odinn-land, although he is now 3/5 engaged! Still moving and wriggling like a giant alien worm! Got a sweep booked for Monday (39weeks) and am back at the hospital for scan and decision on either induction or cs on the following wednesday (20th). Heres hoping that the little man appears before then! (Friday would be good!!! ...but fat chance of that!) Take care everyone...... Kat and baby Odinn x |

Hello Everyone, Not been on for a while.....been busy packing - still! Got removal company coming next week, so gotta crack on still!! Things are getting really serious now....picked up the Slalom Pro today and had the Aprica car seat fitted. OH and I kept looking back at it and saying 'oh, sh*t...its really is gonna happen then'!!! I haven't just eaten all the pies! Its amazing what partial denial can do!!! Odinn is nowhere near engaged yet. In fact, it would appear that my little man has more positions in his repetoir than the Karma Sutra!!!! LOL . As much as I'd like him to arrive a little early, I can see him being late and then being forced out via 'The Equator'. He just seems to be having sooooooooo much fun in there. A gymnast in the making, maybe!! Oh, and B-I-G congrats to Tanya on the arrival of August Baby No1! My feet wobble, especially the right one....although I'm (thankfully) not in cankle territory!! Water balloon, I would say! hehehehe! Had a weird moment yesterday.....was having quite an intense braxton, but decided I needed the loo...(yeah, just a trickle, as per usual!). Whilst on the loo, I had the most overwhelming urge to push . Of course I didn't, but it was a bit freaky! The braxton lasted about 1 1/2 minutes....needed to use my breathing technique!!!! Right, need to elevate the water balloons!!!! Take care all Kat and baby Odinn x PS.....heartburn back with a vengeance!!!! |
