Hi all, I regularly visited this site whilst I was pregnant with both my girls and found it a great help! I have recently started working voluntarily as a breastfeeding support worker for my local maternity wards and have done lots of training. Since doing this I am shocked at the lack of support mothers get when breastfeeding. I fed both my girls and have learnt thing I wish I had known at the time. So if anyone has any questions or needs and help please ask and I'll do my best to help Breastfeeding shouldn't hurt if it is done correctly (something I never knew and wish I had) Jen x

Ive been told its normal after a bad chest, you shoud look at her chest below the ribs to see if it dipping in badly. They told me if the centre area below her ribs looks like its almost touching her back to take her back to the hospital straight away. Id just keep an eye on her temp and feeding e.t.c and if shes ok in herself see how she goes. Buy if in any doubt get her checked out. I went back to docs and had to have an internal, she put me on antibiotics and got to have another done in 2 weeks! She said Elizabeth has reflux. Xx

Hi all, Shes the same wend although she has times when she feeds more but she seems to have short feeds every few hours. Night times she takes a few hours to settle due to wind but once she finally does she goes 4ish hours. She feeds a lot ess than carla used to! Nat thatd what Elizabeth has had, shes still not quite over it. Wonder how suzi got on with her induction! In off to the doctors again today as I passed some tissue last night about the size of a 2 pence piece but pretty sure thats not right almost 3 weeks after birth! Also Elizabeth had a funny turn last night, she was lying on our bed and I lookef over at her and she was red in the face squirming about. She wa completely silent and not breathing (she did have a little sick under her nose and around her mouth, but really panicked me. So want to make sure its nothing to worry about Xx

Hi all, rach try not to worry too much about jasper im sure its something that wil either correct itself or not cause a problem. They may even be wrong!! My health visitor told me carla had a squint we have to see an eye specialist every couple of months since she was tiny and they havent seen any signs of one. She has one more appointment before they discharge her. Elizabeth and I ended up in hospital weds afternoon and night because of her poorly chest, because of her age and for a little while her oxygen saturation was down they wanted to observe her to be on the safe side. She seems to be on the mend but still has a very nasty cough I put on 2st 6ish lbs I think but lost 1st2 lb frommorning sickness ive lost 1st 11lbs or something so far not that I have been trying yet lol but I weigh less than I did originally but I was lighter than I am now through sickness so im quite happy so far. I want to wait until bleeding has completely stopped before I start excercising again after the infection e.t.c. Still getting quite lot of bright red blood after feeding but seems to have pretty much stopped apart from that. Anyone else have this? 2 weeks sine birth today. Nat good to hear from you, Sounds like you are doing a fab job with the feeding! Xx
