My son Reuben has just gone 2 he suffers with febrile convulsions and has done since he was 1 and he is ill all the time he was born nearly 6 weeks early. At 4 month he got bronchilitis he has had numerous chest infections, hand foot and mouth disease, chicken pox, ear infections, he has been treated for hay fever and currently asthma he is prone to illness but he also has beta thalasemia trait. I am told he will grow out of the seizures but he sometimes has 2 or 3 a day he's normal one minute and can then suddenly become ill, he doesn't sleep properly I currently work and this impacts my work as I've used all my holidays to care for him or I take it unpaid and with a family of 5 and this can hit us hard. Can anybody help me any advice or anything would be greatly appreciated xxx
