Caroline - I feel the same as you about so much you have mentioned! I also do a 4 day week and find the day off with the boys much more stressful and hard work but I enjoy it!

Also we have soooo many toys after Xmas it is stupid! Alans parents went crazy and I thought to myself 'I hope these presents stay at their house' but oh no a couple of days later Alans parents turn up with boxes of toys much to the boys delight and my horror! I have pulled out the baby toys such as rattles etc but then William started playing with one of them so they havent gone yet!

I have just tried William on the whole milk for the first time tody (instead of formula) and he drank it fine which is good as that will be both cheaper and less hassle!

Ash - like you we will also have a small family gathering for Williams first as its overwelming for them otherwise.

William has been walking for a month now. Not going to get him shoes for walking outside yet until he is more stable and the weather warms up a bit.

I can not wait until the spring/summer - we are going to Center Parcs again in May. I am so excited about going.

I hope everyone else is ok. Carly and Elise are both ok. Elise is such a happy little baby bless her.

Have a good weekend xx

Hi Alice

I would visit your doctor and explain to him or her your worries as I remember reading an article somewhere that there is an actual condition where women are absolutley terrified of giving birth. Perhaps you dont have this as it is natural to be scared - I was nervous about how I would cope with the pain when I was pregnant first time round but still went on to have a second!

If you are really terrified to the point that it upsets you then speak to your doc about the possibility of having an agreed c section when you fall pregnant. I am sure that they do this for women who are literally terrified. He or she may not think you have this and put you at ease. Dont be afraid to chat to people about it though as we have all felt worried about how we will cope.

Good Luck

Hi everyone

Ash - the photos are lovely, thanks for letting us see them. I have been back at work for 3 weeks now and finding it ok. Tuesdays are my day off so I can go to Tumble Tots with the boys. I do miss them but I find going to work alot easier I must admit. Looking after a baby and a toddler is hard work as you well know

Caroline - good luck with midwifery course - good for you and the breast feeding support work will def help you and look good on your cv as well as being so rewarding trying to help. I always thought I would have liked to have helped new mums with breast feeding as so many women want to do it and give up and all they need is a bit of advice and encouragement. I remember with Samuel when he was a newborn thinking about giving up and my friend who had sucessfully bf her son promised me that if I could do it for 2 weeks it would be ten times easier and by 6 weeks it would be 'a walk in the park' luckily I believed her!

Elaine - wow how was Oliver on the flight? Glad he is settling so well.

Strange to think that this time last year I was pregnant. I remember feeling huge at Xmas. Where does the time go? I got a cute 'My first Kiss-Mas' top for William from Asda - only £2.50 bargain!

We are looking at getting the next size up car seat for William or maybe letting William having Samuels and getting a new one for Samuel - not sure yet what are you all doing about car seats now they are over 9 months?

Take Care

Emma xx

Hi Caroline

Sorry to hear about the lack of sleep! Is Hugo in his own room? I would love William to be in his own room but as our place only has 2 bedrooms he is still in with us as I dont want Samuel disturbed. The night before last William was wide awake at 5.30am and at 6am this morning! Then he woke up Samuel anyway despite being in different rooms. Luckily Alan is off today so he dealt with them.

However that sounds awful for you if he wakes every 2 hours - I wonder if its linked to teething. I hope you get a decent nights sleep before you go back to work. I am concerned also about going into work totally exhausted!

Carly says she puts Elise to bed at 7.30pm and she doesnt hear from her until 7-8am! I told her how lucky she is as Elise has been like that since she was about 6 weeks old I think. Obviously its her first baby so she doesnt know any different but she knows she is very lucky to have a baby who sleeps so well.

How is everbody else's babies sleeping?

Speak soon xx

Hi everyone

Its sooo quiet where is everyone?

William is crawling fast and pulling himself up on everything. He stands up in his cot holding the bars.

He has his 8 month check on Wedesday - any other babies had their 8 month check yet?

I spoke to Carly - Elise is also crawling.

I am back to work in 2 weeks - aarrgghh!!!

Chat soon xx
