I've not been on this website for about a year because I haven't had the internet, but I was in the May mum's thread in 2006. Hello to you all if you're still here! I hope all mums and babies are doing well
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get my 15 month old to sleep later in the mornings. I have tried so many things but he still insists on getting up between 5.30 and 6.00 regardless of what time I put him to bed. Any advice would be appreciated.
At the end of my pregnancy I got a bad rash and itching on my stomach that lasted about 4 weeks. I was tested for various things but everything was negative. I managed to survive on cool baths with a small amount of tea tree oil in as everything else irritated my skin. I also used calamine lotion but that didn't do much and I started craving the smell!!! Eventually they put me on antihistamines because I only had a couple of weeks to go and it went within days. Still don't have any idea what it was though. Hope you are coping ok.
Had a lot to do recently, and the upshot of it is that we are leaving on Monday. The company owe us £13k for payments we have made on the lease but I doubt very much if we will see a penny of it. To be honest I just don't care anymore I just want to get out of here. We are moving in with my bf's parents for the time being, it will be crowded, 6 adults and 1 baby in a 3 bed house, but I'm sure we'll cope. I've already rang up about a house to rent but we have no money and no jobs at the moment so we really can't afford our own place. Anyway I've already applied for 2 part-time jobs and my bf hopefully has something lined up so fingers crossed we won't be jobless for too long.
Ads is doing really well, he's definitely putting on weight now so I'm really pleased. He's also come up with loads of new noises and really enjoys screaming!!!! He nearly managed to roll onto his front the other day but got a bit stuck and ended up banging his head on the floor - poor little thing. Is anyone else finding nappy changing fun at the moment? Ads thinks it's funny to roll from side to side and push himself backwards up the changing mat while I'm trying to put a nappy on him. He's also started passing things from one hand to another and by the looks of things he's going to be left handed.
Congrats on the house Rach, I hope it goes through quickly for you. Tara, I bet you can't wait to get back to normal and well done for surviving it :))))
Well I must go and carry on packing and cleaning etc, and hopefully sleeping at some point if I'm lucky.
Thanks for the posts, I've still got somewhere to live (yeah!!!) and have the accountants coming next week to help me sort things out.
As for Ads, I'm beginning to wonder if the scales were wrong because everyone that's seen him recently has commented on how much he's grown and I can tell from his clothes that he is bigger than he was a couple of weeks ago. I'm tempted to take him back tomorrow just to see, but I suppose I should leave it till next week really.
Ginny, sorry to hear about Kaitlyn's problems, I hope these tests come back ok.
Well I'm off to bed, Ads went to bed late tonight so I should be able to sleep till around 9 or even 10 if I'm lucky!
