Hello everyone, Great to see people back. Sorry not to have been on. I just seem to have problems getting logged on. Every so often it just won't let me on or say forum has been deleted???! Then suddenly a few days later it will be fine! It's been like this right from the start  of coming on here. But last time I got fed up and stopped trying and then life's been hectic. Sounds like we're all having similar experinces with food. I'm doing a mix of finger foos and jars. I stopped jars...perhaps a bit suddenly...and just gave finger foods and Iona just seemed to not eat hardly anything. So I've decided to take a step back and do jars and introduce foods more slowly. She's eating better and likes to feed herself, her hair, ear the floor...sound familiar? She's sleeping better too, which is great. She's got some of her back teeth coming through now and is walking very steady holding onto one of my hands. She's also walking on her own now...just across a room but is gradually getting steadier and more confidant. Unfortuantly she's learnt to clamber onto sofa. So no longer have the back of that to put remote or magaine etc.

Right better get on, but lovely to see people back on here. Oh and by the way...facebook? I've heard of it obviously but I'm clueless about how to get on it or ask to be a friend or anything. Help?

Right I will speak soon.

Love Eowyn and Iona

Hi Sarah,

Iona seems to be better now. Have a chest infection myself though which is a bit of a downer. Had birthday bash for Iona yesterday which was great event hough it was  a few days late. She weighs 16 something...can't remember exact amount. sShe's eating a bit better...so that' s something. She has loads of energy an isn't scrawny looking so not too worried. Her party piece now is walking from dadda to mamma to dadda to mammma and clapping herself each time! Will walk a few steps to grandma but not to anyone else. She is into everything at moment....well I say at the moment as if it's a short phase but I expect it will be a long phase of a few years. Trying to teach her not to be quite so rough ie not pull hair, bite when trying to kiss me or dadda or scratch when trying to climb up me. Apparently this is the age when they have no sence. How's James doing? Hope you've enjoyed holiday. Are you back at work tommorow? I start my work next week. Only one day but I'll be glad of the money. Hope you are ok.

love Eowyn and Iona

HiSarah,                                                                                                                                   Sorry not to have been onfor a bit. Did come on other day and read messages, just started to write message and had to stop. Hubby shouted at me to come help him quick as Iona was pucking up so had to sign off quick. We had a lovely time with Iona on hr birthday and have had various celerbrations. Big news... she's walking a few steps on her own now!!!! Wow it's pretty amazing.... I do love being a mum it's so exciting seeing this little person grow and develop. She took a few steps on her own just before we went away then nothing. Then day after her birthday she did it again, and again and agian. There will be no stopping her soon! She's full of energy, but I wish she would eat more. Some days she is literally only having like 3 spoonfuls of cereal, 4 baked beans and a couple of bites of an apple!!? She keeps having bouts of D&V as well, every few days. She's cheerful just mins after being sick but even so it's a bit wqorrying. Think will take her to docs and just get her checked out.

How's James doing? How was the musical? Sounds like fun, hope you had a good time. Hope your enjoying the easter hols .

 Happy Easter

From Eowyn and Iona

Hi Sarah,

Sorry to not have been on. I couldn't log on last week?? Then we went away. I got  a job working one day a week starting end of this month. Dead chuffed. We've been away staying at friends. Had a lovely time. Glad James birthday went so well. Ionas is on Thursday. I feel quite sad people have stopped coming on here. I thought it might possibly stop once first birthdays had happened. Shame it would just have been nice to reach that milestone together. Well I'm assuming no news is good news and I will anyhow say

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY TO ALL OF YOU

Love from Eowyn and Iona  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hiya,

Had a good day today. Visited a couple of nurseries and I'm begining to get my head round how it all works. Have interview next week for job, but not sure how many hours will be doing. May only be one morning inwhich case mum will look after Iona. I'm hoping for some other work as well though hence the search for nurseries. Was more keen on childminder but i think they have a higher ratio of child to carer than nursery. Oh well I'll just have to wait and see what happens work wise.

Is today the big day...can't remember what the date is today!
