Recent times have seen a dramatic increase in the number of multiple births, partly due to the number of women receiving IVF treatment. One in four IVF pregnancies result in twins and according to the Office of National Statistics one in sixty-seven pregnancies results in a multiple birth.
Due to this increase in multiple births pushchair manufacturer Cosatto has experienced a far higher demand for double buggies, particularly in the past twelve months. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were spotted with one back in April and since then many more celebrity parents have jumped on the double buggy bandwagon.
Cosatto's newly designed range of side-by-side buggies have been snapped up by various celebrities including Nancy Sorrell and Vic Reeves and Georgina and Nicky Byrne, even before they have gone on sale!
Like much of the population it would appear that celebrities are leaving it quite late in life to have their first child and subsequently have a second soon after fuelling the latest demand for double buggies.
